Legislator Bontempi represents the 18th Legislative District. 
She is a former educator who has taught elementary education at the Cold Spring Harbor Central School District, East Woods School in Oyster Bay and most recently at The Green Vale School in Old Brookville, where she had been teaching for the past 15 years until her election to the Legislature.

Through the years, Stephanie has been active in many local community and charitable organizations, including the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, the Townwide Fund of Huntington, Lions Club International, and is a former Chairperson of the Town of Huntington Beautification Advisory Council.
