'Home' is the first original release from Colour Canyon.  It began as a vocal experiment using loop pedals with an aim to creating a rhythmic stream of atmospheric synth-like vocals running throughout the song.  
Vocal experimentation is an important element to their sound and they aim to push the use of vocals in unusual directions - looping, altering, chopping, layering and weaving them throughout the music in dreamlike sequences overlaying the harmony laden lead vocals.  The song is a love song that reaches highs and lows of volume and tempo ending in a rhythmic crescendo of beats and vocal layers.

This electro-pop duo have influences ranging from the likes of the Chromatics and Glass Candy, to Bjork’s Medúlla, Stevie Nicks and Kraftwerk and Home’s lyrics are loosely inspired by the lyrics of This Must be the Place by Talking Heads, in particular the line ‘You got a face with a view’ and they revolve around the idea of a person being ‘Home’ rather than an actual place.
