While “Creator” hints at classic electro breakbeat with futuristic sound design and thrilling synths, “Bound” hammers the 4/4 beat out, combining hyperactive grooves with uplifting pads.

Alex Tsiridis, one of Techno’s more prolific producers, returns to the label he operates alongside Mor Elian. Tsiridis has used the Rhyw alias to explore more abstract interpretations of both the Techno genre, and the wider dance music spectrum.

On this particular missive Tsiridis looks to his musical roots, growing up in the UK for inspiration, with a pair of high tensile, deconstructed club tools. Both find their focus in the low end, with the artist looking to the silent space between percussive strikes as much as any one sonic component. Vocal cuts lend the tracks their identity, with careful shifts and edits thereof lifting both recordings up far and above the sum of their parts.

The result is satisfying & undeniably effective - Tsiridis’ output as Rhyw has always been deceptively simple - favouring economy of elements over a crowded sonic space. This latest effort is no different, a well executed & welcome addition to the discographies of both artist and label.

FR: Batenko (@batenko) est un DJ et producteur français, actif sur la scène depuis une dizaine d'années. Tout d'abord inspiré par la house UK bien punchy, il évolue désormais vers des sonorités breakbeat, electro et techno. Après un voyage dans la capitale arménienne Erevan, où il officie en tant que DJ dans le paysage musical underground de la ville, il étend son panel de styles et ne se fixe plus aucune limite musicale. Son E.P sur Human Disease Network (@human-disease-network) en est l'exemple parfait, avec un savant mélange de tracks electro, UK et un soupçon de rave.
Rave in the Moon est un parfait condensé de tout ça avec son kick poussif, son sample qui nous transporte dans les nuits chaudes d'une autre décennie, et une bassline à en décoller la plèvre !
Soutenu par des artistes comme Anz (@yung-anz), DJ Gigola (@djgigola), Don Rimini (@donrimini) et bien d'autres, il s'est retrouvé playlisté dernièrement sur Rinse Londres ou encore NTS à Manchester, vous l'aurez compris c'est un artiste à suivre de très près !
