Early 2008 we finished our second mixtape, “Lektion #2″. A 65 minute collage with hundreds of samples  from all kinds of sources: Spanish International Brigades, British soft porn soundtracks and Turkish women’s liberation anthems to rap legends and doom boom from the deep eighties. An insane wave of hype cought the School and “Lektion #2″ ended up being the best reviewed Danish release in 2008!

Another discovery buried on my hard drive, a nearly ready to go mix that I had seemingly parked. On re-listening, I liked a lot of it, however it fell off a cliff in the middle at one point and I'd lost a track near the end. Pulling out the scissors and glue, I reworked a new mid-section and outro, finishing off the mix.

Looking at the tracks involved, this is at least 12 years old and results in a mix which is weirdly 32 year old me going B2B with 45 year old me. Both eras I have different approaches - 32 year old me was hitting up some more straightforward house with a love for splicing, looping and layering, while 45 year old me prefers to thoughtfully pick out a distinct track, letting it run its course. See if you can figure out where the handshakes are.

We are very excited to share Theef’s perception of Far Blue with you today. After years of work on these productions, he has now compiled an almost 3 hour long mix of his original and unreleased works.

‘Temporal Futures’ drifts through the shadows of time, weaving together fleeting moments of light and darkness. Each track is a glimpse into distant dreamscapes—some soft and ethereal, others pulsing with mystery and edge. From the depths of ambient oceans to the glow of cosmic dancefloors, Temporal Futures unfolds like a journey across forgotten timelines and fictional realities.

“This mixtape came to life while I was back on my island, Crete—a place where time feels slower, yet the landscape constantly shifts around you. The sound of the sea, the wind across the mountains, and the endless open skies seeped into the process. Crete's nature has a way of blending brightness with a sense of the unknown, so I tried to reflect that duality in the music. FACT mix 387 - DJ Koze (June '13)

I started listening to trance back in 98/99 and got very passionate about music. Somewhere along the way I got tired of all the standard sounding uplifting trance, and the attitude in that part of the trance scene. When I started my radio show "Salt & Vinegar" on www.sense.fm in 2009 I wanted to do something different, instead of playing all the same tunes as the big trance DJs. I guess one could say I got bored. The idea with Salt & Vinegar is to expose people to quality melodic and groovy music. I hope you enjoy :)
