"During a conference with an administrator discussing my position in the upcoming new school year, I was told that I would be moved to a different team because Coworker A had complained about me, mentioning a non-event that had happened, and had been resolved immediately and amicably, months earlier.  I was told that, to reassure her and avoid future trouble, it was best to separate us.  Irritated, I sent her a message asking why that insignificant event had even been mentioned.  After that, my grade chief told me that Coworker A wanted to have a conference with me, but that he and one other teacher (a member of her babysitter brigade) would be present for reassurance.  I eagerly hoped that that would resolve the current problem, but to my surprise, she started off instead by claiming that all of the past episodes involving her that had concerned me, as well as the current relationship I'd thought she was in, had never happened, and that it had all been a misunderstanding.  What she said ranged from difficult to flat out impossible to believe, and I explained the reasons for my skepticism.  She just kept asking me softly why I wouldn't believe her.  Meanwhile, the other two teachers kept insisting adamantly that I should just accept that it had all been a mistake, forget it all, and move on without further question.  It was all terribly surreal, and I began to ask what her true message and intentions were.  She looked at me with puzzlement and said there was no reason why we couldn't get along.  Time constraints ended the meeting.  The grade chief seemed satisfied, as did Coworker A, but the other teacher (babysitter) told me angrily that Coworker A wasn't my friend, she didn't need my concern, and I should just leave her alone.  That was strange...because I HAD been leaving her alone."  (From The Academy Annals)

Curses: 

This song was recorded in 2016 with Sean Payne of Cyanotic and was the intended B-side to a single called "Good News [It's Monday]" which was played on the podcast last summer when I came to discuss Misery Machine. Its lyrical themes are centered around realizing the non-existence of god and the damaging futility of living under the rule of religion.

Compassion for the Weak: 

Recorded during the initial salvo of the Coronavirus pandemic, this is a sample driven, industrial track which will be featured on the third installment of a triptych entitled "Age of Anxiety". The first installment is available on Bandcamp, technically for free but donations are always welcome!
