The savage, kaleidoscopic improvisations of the quintet's previous two volumes instantly gained reverence among fans of free flowing krautrock and detuned stoner rock, and this brand new addition, recorded in the late summer of 2013, fullfills the group's potential entirely. The krautrock grooves, the low-end heavyness and the sprawling furor is still very much present - but this set is also permeated by a rare free jazz-sensibility, at times recalling American masters of improvisation such as John Coltrane and Don Cherry in spirit.

The Narcotic Daffodils introduce their alternative rock, offering their rawness, savagery through lyrics full of colours or poetry, combining sensivity, groove, experimentations and reflecting the current time. The universe of The Narcotic Daffodils gives life to an original rock.
The talented singer Irene Csordas(Vocals,keyboards) from hungarian origin met her musicians in May 2009. The musicians surrounding her are Hakim(guitar), Merlin(drums), Flupk’e(bass) and Simon (Keybords/Sitar), all coming from Brussels.
Their big influences take their roots from Radiohead, Bloc Party, Pixies etc.  The Narcotic Daffodils have performed multiple gigs through Belgium, Holland, London(UK), Italy and France.
The CD « The Narcotic Daffodils »recorded in Brussels has been mixed by Paolo Negri, (producer/organist of the Link Quartet) and was released by Music Brussels the collective, distributed by Fakto Records(Europe-released on May 14th 2011) and it’s Oh! Music (Japan – released on Sept 21st 2011 ). The Narcotic Daffodils have re-released the song The Crazy Dwarf on an american compilation from Trail Records (US-released on august 2012). They are now preparing the release of the second Album for autumn 2013 with Noise Factory Studio and Uptown Studio.

The universe of The Narcotic Daffodils gives life to an alternative sound which is psychedelic by gestation, rock by nature and even in it’s most quiet state, moving.

The Narcotic Daffodils second CD “CELLEX” released in 2014 by MusicBrussels and distributed by COD&S in Belgium and MUSEA outside Belgium is a picture of an eclectic sounds and influences, and offers a reality filled with exotic riches and rock grinding. With this new album, The Narcotic Daffodils take us to the heart of a multicultural alternative travel with paisley and strings of metal. In the same chords delicate and brutal, “CELLEX” is a musical mosaic together the various fragments composing The Narcotic Daffodils and telling all their stories in one symphony of rythms and rhymes. 'Weathered' in the studio  (with Luna Dop in guest) or ‘Jolyne’ recorded in the Basilique Cathedral of Saint-Hubert are always a trip to remember. Irène left the band after the "Cellex" tour , Hakim and Merlin followed . Maria was an old friend and fan of the band , so it was easy for her to replace immediately Hakim on guitar , and she also plays violin and indian Sitar. It was longer to find a drummer and a lead singer but the new line up is now completed with Luna Dop on vocals and keyboards , and Pierre on Drums .

The band is working on completely new material . First listeners would say "back to the roots", with more Hammond , oriental influences (like on Atomic53 or Guardians) The band will soon be back on the road
