The Night Herons are from Wallingford, Oxfordshire - formed in 2013 by vocalist Rachel Holmes and songwriter/pianist Dave Hemming, and later joined by Chris Baines on drums, Nick Hill on bass, now replaced by Werner de Jong. Created by accident for an emergency gig in a tipi, they have experimented with jazz, folk, trip-hop, pop, funk and gospel.
