The 9th vinyl release is here and we're very glad that, after a long time, we finally have The Noisemaker back on the label. And this time on wax. 
The Noisemaker, new label / agency regular member, has putted all of his finesse in 4 new outstanding productions. This new EP is an experience with various feelings emerging from the different moods of the tracks. Sometimes it goes on with broken beats, sometimes it is just straight and it always comes with hypnotic, tripping raw and acid synthetizers, entertaining rythmics, all wrapped in dark atmospheres.

The EP is supported by a high quality remix from American Techno legend Paul Birken that delivered a real cutting edge rework of the original track "Processing". More than a remix, we could call it a reinterpretation. Paul's very own flow is immediately hitting with patterns running crazy and an intense energy which is raised by heavy bass drums and slashing percs

Taking influence from the 90s IDM scene that revolved around labels such as Warp, Rephlex and Planet Mu, Cardiff producer Pope John Paul Van Damme creates a visceral collage of techno, breakcore and acid - a sonic menagerie that could make even the most hardened raver feel like they're tripping on their own synapses.

His music has been praised for its abstract and experimental nature, yet, in the midst of the chaos, there's beauty to be found. Listening to his latest album, ‘How Am I Not Myself?’, released on 12” vinyl via Last Riot Records, is like peering into a kaleidoscope on LSD. His beats lurch and stutter, while melodies swirl like dervishes in a sandstorm. With tracks like ‘Say No to Yes’ and ‘An Overture to Illumination’, the Welsh wizard crafts a sound that is simultaneously hypnotic and unsettling, like a rave in a haunted cathedral.

[AF023] MAUSE '—UBAL EP' [2019]

CPU is proud to release the new studio album from acclaimed artist Bochum Welt - ‘Seafire’.

For this new album, Gianluigi Di Costanzo, aka Bochum Welt, devoted himself to the pursuit of creating new sounds, using old monster synthesizers to produce original compositions.

This album is an evolution of the electronic style which characterized Bochum Welt’s releases on Aphex Twin's Rephlex label. ‘Seafire’ collects futuristic electro / ambient tracks, alternated with cinematic soundscapes.

Gianluigi Di Costanzo says of the release:
“Since ‘Seafire’ is an evolution of the electro sound I worked on in the past, it seemed natural to release it with Central Processing Unit, the very cool British record label which is continuing Sheffield's strong electronic music heritage.

"I've always been inspired by the Sheffield electro scene, many keyboard players I listened to in the past are from Sheffield: Martyn Ware & Ian Marsh (founding members of the Human League), Cabaret Voltaire and Mark White.”

Riccardo Piovesan, born in Treviso (IT), is a polyhedral artist who moves between sound design and live performance.
Fascinated by the art of djing, he gradually arouses his interest in aesthetic developments of sound. The academic background in Visual and Performing Arts led him to elaborate his own voice, seeking to explore different fields of Electronic Music, from techno to IDM. 

Record collector, multimedia format fan and passionate for the unconventional, he had the opportunity to perform all around Europe and Asia including clubs as Tresor, Arma17, About blank or Dude club.

The Berlin based artist is also running his own record label called Last Riot; platform for his most cutting edge developments in sound research, working in the liminal space between art, sound design and new media.
