Afterlife and Tale Of Us are proud to announce ‘Realm Of Consciousness’, a 10-piece compilation
expanding the Afterlife totality into a label. The label and events will complement each other with one
aim; to bring the crowd into another dimension of music perception with enthralling production to that
ignite the senses.
The ‘Realm Of Consciousness’ voyage commences with Tale Of Us’ Lies - a fitting introduction with
quivering keys and restrained percussion that engenders an ominous suspense ahead of Monoloc’s
enigmatic industrial techno crunch, Phoenix. Shifting through the haunting chords of Recondite’s dynamic
Murphy’s Law, to the brooding synth of Poseidon by Ukrainian duo Woo York, the realisation of Afterlife
utopia is upon us. The repetitive, mesmerising synth and effective reverb that Somne creates with Triangle
is an odyssey within itself. From there, John Hester’s expertly woven ‘Logan’ is a feverish techno stab that
transverses through the emotional senses, transitioning to Locked Groove’s adroitly crafted Emeralds, to
Ryan James Ford’s ambient, albeit percussive, techno cut Toree Bahrstad. Die Wiederkehr is the outcome
of Obscure Shape & SHDW’s collaboration, which incorporates facets of techno and trance that have
been shaped with real guile and finesse. Mind Against round off the compilation with Gravity - a
mystifying ambience and a fitting title as we touch back down to planet earth.

Italian dance music veteran Maurizio Colella – aka EDX – returns with what is guaranteed to be yet another chart-topping release to add his already impressive repertoire of hits as he unveils his enormous new single ‘Roadkill’ – out June 13th via Spinnin' Deep/Sirup Music.  
 
Originally released back in 2007 by Dubfire, EDX first lent his hand to remix duties on ‘Roadkill’ that same year, turning the minimal techno record into a mammoth electro house remix that dominated Ibiza and received support from every major DJ on the island and indeed the globe. Nearly a decade later, EDX has chosen to test his production prowess by revisiting the fan-favourite, masterfully infusing the original with his sublime sound to provide a divine deep house edit that is set to continue his worldwide dancefloor domination.

In celebration of the release, EDX gives insight into the importance of the song, “In 2007, Dubfire released his debut minimal techno record, ‘Roadkill’ and it’s a significant song in my career as I released a remix of it in 2008 that took over Ibiza and saw a ton of DJ support from Pete Tong, Armin Van Buuren, and Swedish House Mafia, to name a few. The song still brings back many good memories from that exciting era, so I decided to revitalize it with a fresh version that features my deeper, sexier style, about 10 years since its release. With the recent announcement of my Privilege Ibiza residency this summer, this new ‘Roadkill’ version couldn’t have come at a better time, and I can’t wait for you all to hear it on the dance floor.”
 
Last year saw EDX’s career reach unprecedented heights, with his remix of Sam Feldt’s ‘Show Me Love’ amassing over 60 million plays on SoundCloud alone, not to mention releasing a slew of club-ready cuts such as ‘Belong’ and ‘Revered’ that saw him scoop the award for #1 top charting artist on Beatport of 2015. With his weekly ‘NoXcuses’ radio show and podcast hitting the 1 million downloads mark, earlier this year saw the Swiss sensation bring the revered show and event brand of the same name together with Swiss label Enormous Tunes for a hugely successful 15-date bus tour across North America. Respected house producer Josh Butler is back, armed with his brand new ‘Link’ EP on Edwin Oosterwal and Joris Voorn’s legendary Rejected imprint. The EP once again proves Josh’s ability to continuously deliver the kind of high quality tech-house that has entrenched him as an integral figure in the underground UK house scene.

The title track ‘Link’ stays true to Butler’s less-is-more philosophy while also showcasing his incredible sound-design and production know-how. The percussion takes centre stage as Josh brings in conga rolls, a soulful vocal refrain and lush, atmospheric pads to contribute to an inimitable groove. Two distinct mixes of the track, a melodic mix and a dub mix, are generously provided on the EP and both demonstrate the intricacies inherent in Josh’s production.

Rounding off the release is ‘Need Me’, the EP’s deeper venture that combines minimalist instrumentation centred around a grooving bassline, subtly making itself known above the driving percussion. Throughout the EP, Josh succeeds in delivering vast symphonic landscapes within the pretext of measured and characteristic instrumental restraint. Partygoers can expect to hear both sides of the EP receive serious airtime across the club circuit as the Ibiza season kicks into full swing this month.

The kicks are heavy, the rhythm is controlled yet toxic and the mutant builds reveal drops that aren't for the faint of heart. It may be darkness-drenched but it's one hell of a way to kick off an imprint. Fire.

After the global success of their first EP of 2016, ‘On’, including remixes by Techno legend Paco Osuna and Chloé, Monkey Safari is the name on everyone’s lips, and summer lineups. The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it’s all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil’s remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil’s signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.

Marc Romboy & Stephan Bodzin - "Atlas (Adriatique Remix)" (SC Snippet)

Elevate get their summer campaign off to a flying start with this three track EP full of international flavour and featuring some of the hottest names in the techno scene.


First up is Julian Jeweil with his track ‘Orbit’ which is a thundering bass driven monster and has been a big track for Pig&Dan since they signed just over a month or so ago. Next comes Dast, fresh from his recent release with Elevate, he brings us ‘Hypnotize’ which does just what it says with it’s soaring melodies and driving percussion. The final part of the release comes from Luca Agnelli with his track ‘Turbo’ which is an unrelenting bass heavy techno workout with snippets of vocal samples layered over the top.

All of these tracks have been given a thorough workout at the opening party at Space through to Sonar and have gone down a storm and are coming soon on Elevate.
