Where Giants roam the Earth there is a Giant piano - The Piano As Big As a Tree.

In the summer of 2015 I had the amazing chance to play the biggest upright piano in the world - "The Giant", made by David Klavins (@thepianoguy), the renowned pianomaker. 

When I touched "The Giant" for the first time, this very piece was born under my fingers. We called it "The Piano As Big As a Tree".

I knew right away that one day I would compose a whole album for this extraordinary piano.

This year my dream finally came true! Thank you for the inspiration, David!

Unsettled Nights

I always loving playing Jazz tunes. This is an improvisation that blew out into a full tune. "In the pocket" is a jazz term that means you are really in the groove. It usually refers to an ensemble being really tight & feeling their way through the tune, almost totally in sync. Because it was just me on the piano, I really did feel "in sync" with myself. This is my contribution to Nils Frahm's Piano Day 2019.
