Phlebotomist, Poet, Students, And Teacher

Barry G. Wick has been writing poetry and prose since the late 1960s and doesn't care much for the publishing industry.  He uses a blog and other websites for presenting his work to the public.  Barry moved to Coralville, Iowa, in 2014, next to the great poetry center of The University of Iowa, The Writer's Workshop, and Iowa City.  He was born and raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  He is a 1974 graduate of Washington State University. He studied poetry with the late Indian poet, G. S. Sharat Chandra.  He goes to some readings, has recorded some readings of other poets, and has read a few times at readings in bars and book stores.  He mostly stays at home all day.  He has some high quality recording equipment but now records using his Samsung phone and voice recording app for simplicity.  He rarely leaves his home except for grocery, pharmacy, and doctor.
