Dave Allen runs Pampelmoose, a music web site that hosts free and legal MP3s, and is best known as the founding member and bass player of Gang of Four.

I am passionate about great sound. As a Boston-based recording engineer, over the last decade I've had the opportunity to work on over 100 projects in every possible style from bluegrass to rock to comedy to hip-hop.

For many musicians in the industry, "working" does not always mean "creating" freely. As a group working on this project, we wanted to give ourselves complete creative license - away from the restrictions of scenes and industry. For a unique challenge, we decided to record and mix a song all in one day. Never to be touched again.
