A salacious certainty across genres, she surfaces an enchanted nostalgia, for the sensuality of the rave and the magnetic anticipation brought on by the change in seasons. The highlight of 2022 for me was a sunny beach party with 300 of our friends on the shores of beautiful Victoria, BC.

This is the set I played.

It's a fun, hoppin' sonic journey that starts with some favorite remixes/remakes of timeless classics and then moves into some new territory for me, verging on Bass House. Then near the end it gets melodic again featuring some other current favorites that have received regular play this summer.

SUMMER 2022

@suze_ijo hails from the vibrant city of Rotterdam but her sound is inspired by her own heritage and takes in scenes from all over the world. She is a passionate collector of broken beats, techno, and breaks from West Africa, South America and the West Indies who has made her mark both in the club and her radio shows. She has hosted her own proudly diverse parties and always works to make the dance floor a place of harmony and togetherness. 

This week, she weaves together a lush array of soulful sounds across the house spectrum. The grooves are smooth and analogue and flow freely as water as emotive vocals, warm late-night synths and cuddly pads all make for an intimate and heartfelt selection for cosy dance floors. It's a perfect way to awaken your week and enrich your senses.

NYC-based Jonathan Lundquist, known as IT-XPO, is a Delayed regular for a good reason. The Chicago native never disappoints, regularly putting out exceptional DJ mixes, an impressive amount of live mixes that are somehow always full of fresh material, and of course his releases. 

Today we feature Lundquist’s second mix on Delayed, this time with an hour and a half of dance floor-oriented music. The most distinct characteristic of IT-XPO’s music is its dedication to emotion without compromising on unrelenting grooviness. This mix is no different. Opening on a “high” note with Lawrence’s Oolong High, and sustaining the energy throughout the 90 minutes, this mix will have you locked in and unwittingly swaying nonstop. The first hour is house à la Mr. G, before shifting to higher energy with hypnotic basslines and melody mania. 

IT-XPO has been and will keep putting out beautiful electronic music for years, and we are extremely happy to be able to support such an incredibly passionate who also just so happens to be our neighbor.

Delayed With… IT-XPO

As a teaser for Friday's Harmony invites Rhythm Büro [24.03], @veralogdanidi has recorded a clubby-oriented mix for the Harmony podcast series.

Vera Logdanidi is an established dj & producer that has been involved in the European's electronic music scene for over a decade. Originally from Ukraine, Vera established 22:22 studio, runs Kashtan record label and co-hosts Rhythm Büro. A label and collective dedicated to curate vibrant & hypnotic parties and a festival with alluring visuals across Kiev and the nearby area. 

We visited the Rhythm Büro festival in 2021 and after seeing Vera & Na Nich playing live, we couldn’t wait to introduce them in Prague. Take the mix as a warm up to get ready for an all-nighter the following Friday.

"I wanted to craft something polyrhythmic and groovey while focusing on the idea of stretching time and slowing things down. I’ve been loving the resurgence of funky hard groove techno and wanted to make a mix with this sound in mind while slowing down a lot of the tracks (by 10/15 bpm at least). In general, I’ve been enjoying a s lower and more considered pace in my life and this mix has a bit of that. Stretched out rhythms with the long mix."

Berlin can be a little crowded – that’s why it’s always exciting to see a DJ move through the ranks and cement their place amidst the melting pot.

ābnamā has been building a reputation – playing at parties around the city, some well known and others for those in the know.

Appearances at the likes of Buttons, Cocktail d’Amore and Body Language have helped to cement an identity as a fierce, fast paced selector with a unique style. It was at Body Language that this mix was recorded, a wild two hours of vinyl only madness which we can only imagine blew the roof off.

ābnamā is also involved in the running of queer party DUMP and formerly Climax. Originally from Tehran and now based in the German capital – we anticipate that you might be seeing a lot more from ābnamā over the coming years and judging by this mixtape… if you do you better dress to sweat.

I wanted something that’s like a wormhole, seductive and slick but at the same disorienting in terms of era or mood, a bit like a cyberpunk lezzie erotic thriller. "
