Mixtapes

Balam is one of a handful of recent contemporary producers whose music you can pinpoint within just a few bars. The Argentinian DJ, live artist and producer's signature approach to drums and percussion is influenced by his Latin roots; there's a ritualistic sway and bounce to his productions that locks you in from the off.

Merging the synthetic and the organic, his creations are brought to life with analog synthesizers, live percussion and guitars mixed with shamanistic samples and atmospheric FX. While these original stylings have found a home on Playground Records, Esthetique, Multi Culti and Hard Fist, where his most recent Chants Of Pachamama EP saw the light of day, he also finds time to put his hand to edits of some of his favourite bands — the likes of Black Sabbath, Cymande and in the case of today's mix, even The Beatles.

Getting Ready For FestiGarzen !

@RichardRossa 's Stockholm based label Tom Tom Disco has become synonymous with quality and a home for spaced out, tribal disco that has gained legions of fans across the globe. Whether hosting a stage at festivals like Fusion or their music playing at intimate underground venues, the labels sound acquires the most discerning of electronic music enthusiasts and has a life of its own.

Recently we collaborated with the label and a selection of the Tom Tom Disco family to support Ballroom Blitz and Palestinian Radio Alhara to raise money for those most affected by the explosion in Beirut. Over the course of the coming week we're delighted to share the sets during this radio event via the Sinchi Channel. Featured artists include Leonor, Tushen Raï & Warum, Cornelius Doctor, Bufi, Hanzo & Yaman, Tony Disco, Rigopolar and Lucare b2b with Aurum.
