Bawrut is a hero of ours, a brother and a friend - he was the first man to feature on the label and has since gone on to roaring success with his music having been championed by everyone from Avalon Emerson to Skream, Andrew Weatherall to Patrick Topping, Optimo to Roman Flugel and beyond. His sound seems to find wide appeal across a spectrum of genres and sits firmly atop the niche - universally danceable and endlessly fun. He's made many friends along the way and his energetic, warm hearted approach to dance music is exactly what is needed in the current climate of seriousness and fabrication. 

His new EP is set for release on Ransom Note Records and 'Pronto Arpeggio' has already been a roaring success across the clubs and festivals this summer - he smashed it. The release is rounded off with remixes from KiNK and Ruf Dug and it's about as big as they come.

Max Pask and Justin Strauss are Each Other, it's as simple as that. The New York-based artist duo has had some well-selected works released over the past couple of months. Starting with their Be Nice To Each Other EP, which rang in the golden era of the golden boys on DEEWEE, one could soon see the duo emerging as remixers for Good Guy Mikesh's and Reznik's and track The Moon Landing Was A Hoax, which was folllowed by their latest collaboration or common release: a remix for Kasper Bjørke's track Du Du Du ft. Tomas Høffding on hfn music. Now the duo is back with an hour full of music they compiled for Torture the Artist's art:cast series and deliver a heartfelt disco romance with dance floor moments, living room detours and traffic jams parties. Strauss and Pask manoveur their audience stylistically confident through the hour, through their idea of a journey off the roads but in your mind. It's safe to say that Each Other not only complement themselves musically but enrich their audience – especially with an art:cast like this, which was recorded as a back to back set in their New York studio.

This week I wanted to share some of the beautiful music I grew up with at home, some gnawa but especially those beautiful melodies from Madagascar, Angola and Mali, but also some more modern music from the continent like that of @eawavesound from Kenya. 

Special guest @dj_danke  joined me for this 10th edition, his selections float above any genre and are from a wide spectrum sending you on a trip through different cosmoses..  - cosmic soul is what he names it.
