Cutting his teeth holding down a six year residency at the legendary Shine in Belfast, Cromby has been on a steady rise since his production debut in 2012. Following up with acclaimed releases on Rekids, Feel My Bicep and Unknown To The Unknown, 2020 marked the next chapter in Cromby’s career with the launch of his own imprint, Potency. Now residing in Berlin, Cromby is a regular at coveted strongholds,  Berghain / Panorama Bar, The Warehouse Project and fabric to name a few.

It’s always exciting when a DJ rips up the rulebook. Emerging from the Copenhagen underground is Prom Night, real name Shaq. He’s been touted as a bit of an upcoming gem as he blurs the lines between sleazy disco cuts and chuggers, italo house, afro-house and funk and beyond.

Originally from Aarhus he first began DJ’ing at just nine years old and describes his sound as being heavily influenced by 80’s pop culture hence the name. He reflects on his roots and recent embarkment into the world of music production:
 
“A lot of my productions are inspired by/ centered around a fusion of 70’s and 80’s Disco combined with modern and contemporary styles of House music.”

When we invited him to record this mixtape we weren’t entirely sure what we were going to get. What we’ve ended up is a spectacular showcase of Prom Night’s ability as a selector capable of switching quickly between genres and pushing the limitations. This one is a fun filled affair perfect for the weekend…

Denys Dinkevych also known as Diskevich is a true digger, always searching for the most obscure nuggets. He had the privilege of soaking up roots of electronic music culture at one of the most legendary clubs on this planet @closer-lesnoyprichal .
He’s now running a YouTube channel that represents the best pieces of his vinyl collection, with lots of unknown gems from the early ages and beyond.

Big Miz has been banging the drum in clubs and basements for a long time now, raised on the dancefloors of Glasgow he has developed and progressed as both a producer and DJ in fine style.

He’s worked hard behind the scenes to get to where he is, from the early heady days of murky raves at La Cheetah through to playing on the international circuit, he has hustled hard and cultivated a name for himself as a party rocker.

Over the years he has released music most prominently on the likes of Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Shall Not Fade, Pear and more.


 
His fun, uplifting approach to dance music is rooted in the origins of the sound as he blurs the lines between playful melodic house, acid, techno, disco and the spaces in between.

As a DJ he’s versatile and driven, inclined to play a big room banger alongside a recent off piste pickup from Rubadub. You never know quite what your gonna get but you can pretty much always guarantee it’s gonna’ be a fun ride.

Ambient is about cutting edge, flat structures, encompassing structures, nuturing structures.  Ambient culture is about developing what’s within you.  The main focus is developmental, more than achievement, it’s more process oriented towards spiritual and technological concerns or interests.  It’s an inward thing, but it’s down through technology.  Developing a look with a Macintosh, or developing your sound with certain midi gear, so it isn’t like sitting in a cave playing the shakahatchi or anything. In Resom's own words: "The crew of De School took over ://about blank last summer and this mix here is the recording of my closing set at the most beautiful garden of ://about blank. I was overexcited, jittery and had this crazy idea to create a acoustic movie for the audience. I was performing in London the weeks before and went to an MVE where they played the soundtrack of a german 70’s Science Fiction TV series I never heard about before. It was so feminist and progressive that I decided in that moment that I have to use the samples. That’s where the citations are coming from sometimes. The reason to use those was bc I think that ://about blank and De School have a lot in common when it is about forward thinking curating and pushing debates. Of course there are mistakes being made, but again: I personally find this even more interesting, because it gives the chance to reflect, process and learn."

In the past, being heard as KIM he used to perform together with Dmitry Zharkikh. In 2018, after a hiatus of three years, Viacheslav got back in the game launching the label - Kultura Zvuka and releases a split with Bodin & Jacob "Trulla" EP on his native @tvir. At this stage, writes music and runs @trance-pandemic label together with Eugene Kurilo. In addition to producing, he also did bookings at Kultura Zvuka Studiya and Yama party series in Kharkiv.
