Adult Hits makes dance music that sweats, mutates, and smiles back at you. A co-founder of Sensory Signal and a fixture in the Los Angeles underground, he builds worlds from percussion — grooves that start as a pulse and end as possession. His sound leans toward the playful and the psychedelic: prog swung through breaks, acid melted into color, humor folded into hypnosis. There’s always a wink in the chaos, a kind of sly confidence that comes from knowing exactly how the room will move.

Attitude Drums EP packs a sassy, proggy punch square in the chest. Euphoric wobbles and wibbly ear~candy collide with psy~esque licks and naughty breaks. No rest for the wicked, Adult Hits flirts across the EP with raw personality; his locked-in percussion, trippy pads and nasty vocal chops carry the floor effortlessly.

From free jazz, funk, disco and boogie to ambient, synth pop and new wave, this mix recaptures an authentic Yugoslavian sensitivity: dreamy, mysterious, beautiful and yet ridiculous, grotesque and tragic. Mainly composed of songs which became Yugo oddball classics, it acts as a good starting point for further investigation and individual research. Discom's latest release, Consequential - 'MicroComposed 1980-86' is out today!
