Christopher Ledger has released an impressive amount of quality output in the past few years, on well-respected labels including the revered German Dial Records, and Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia's Amphia imprint. 

He's now launching a new alias, Taylor Aaron, seeming to lean towards broodier moods than his usual, going from eerie dub techno on Echoes in the Night on the A2 to 9.5 minute breakbeat reverie, Temporal Introduction, on the B2.

Neural Euphoria, the EP opener, is a deep delve into electro, a direction he had previously explored alongside Jamie Leather under their CLJL alias. A helix of menacing synth stabs and sinister pads whirl around one another to create tension throughout the track.

The EP will be out on Ledger's newly launched Hidden Folder label, available digitally in addition to 10 physical copies on Bandcamp.

Renowned for their boundary-pushing sonic explorations, Klein Zage and Joey G ii  join forces to deliver a captivating fusion of spoken word and electronic beats in their latest collaborative EP, ‘From New Cross To Ridgewood’ inspired by their time living together in South London. Set to be released at the end of March, the EP promises an immersive auditory experience that transcends genre boundaries featuring remixes from Local Artist, DJ Python and Ariel Zetina.
The EP marks a return to the stripped back musical style Sage became known for early in her career on Orphan Records, such as Womanhood EP and the sensational ‘The Sayers’ on the 2022 edition of Shouts. The record effortlessly blends  the ethereal spoken word prowess of Klein Zage with the electronic breaks wizardry of Joey G II.  The duo's ability to seamlessly merge spoken word poetry with innovative electronic soundscapes creates a unique and compelling listening journey that captivates from start to finish. 
Adding to the allure of the EP are the remix contributions from three distinct artists, each bringing their own perspective and style to the project. Producer and DJ of the moment, Ariel Zetina steps up to the plate with an impressive hyper chopped percussive rework whilst Local Artist RS alumni delivers a stellar dubbed out version perfect for any sunrise moment. The EP is then rounded off by cult producer DJ Python, known for his mix of ambient and ethereal production processes creating a stripped back version of ‘A Little Dissonance’.

"Voyage Voyage Voyage" by DJ Salinger is not your typical mixtape; it's a subjective journey through 80's pop songs, reimagined by London-based French producer and site friend @franzkirmann. These tracks, like the iconic "Voyage voyage" by Desireless, evoke memories of summers in France, heard on radios or at local events. Kirmann's sonic treatments distort and suspend the music, creating a dreamy, distant quality that enhances themes of escapism. The result is an ambient reinterpretation of nostalgic synth pop, reminiscent of distant radio transmissions. While the essence of the original songs remains, they are transformed into a mesmerizing sonic tapestry. In essence, it's a nod to the past through a contemporary lens, akin to imagining a cover of "Voyage, voyage" by artists like Fennesz or My Bloody Valentine.

'Basement Philosophy', the long-awaited debut album from Glasgow’s legendary Domenic Cappello.

Domenic started making music under his Hutton Drive alias over 20 years ago, releasing on Soma Records and through his own label, Seven Sign Recordings. More recently, his productions have featured on Sub Club’s Nautilus Rising, Verdant Recordings and Alien Communications.

Cappello’s very own Subculture sound is present throughout 'Basement Philosophy', in which he travels through varying sonic textures and moods, to create something which is captivating and potent in equal measure. Introductory track 'Mushroom Waltz' eases the listener in through a combination of dreamy pads and upbeat chords, before 'Midnight with T' moves into more soulful territory with a New York-inspired cut which is both moody and spacious. 'Early Flight' manages to build a cerebral atmosphere, whilst possessing the snapping drums which are so characteristic of what you can expect to hear from Dom in full flow.

'Acid Rain' carries an air of nostalgia around it, as Cappello turns to a vocal sample from friend and house music luminary Kerri Chandler’s seminal house anthem 'Rain', utilising the lyrics in a way which perfectly complements the gradual progression of the track towards a powerful, acid-tinged crescendo. This rising intensity is also present on '3am Jamaica Street', a throbbing, peak-time belter which would no-doubt be best listened to through Sub Club’s pulsating sound system. A different type of atmosphere is created on 'Moon Jump,' where languid melodies allow to create a track which does justice to the inspiration of the more house-orientated work of classic Underground Resistance.

'Basement Philosophy' rounds off with two more electro-inspired euphonies, which signifies why Domenic Cappello and Alien Communications are such an appropriate pairing. 'Burning Past’ is a blissful, floating number whereas 'Not for Instagram DJs' is an aptly-named way to conclude the album, with a driving, floor-focused beat providing a fitting and dynamic finale. Imagine Marty Bonds meets Glenn Underground.
