MOLLY - Instrospections EP [GR037]

Molly makes a triumphant return to Groovement with her latest "Introspections EP." This five-track EP marks her first release on the esteemed Portuguese record label in five years. The EP exudes sheer brilliance, boasting a mesmerizing blend of breakbeat rhythms intertwined with captivating acid bass lines and two lush ambient pieces.

Our premiere for today is the EP's opening track, "I'm not your...," a true gem that instantly catches the listener's attention. Fuelled by an invigorating 808 broken beat, the song is adorned with beautifully subtle pads and a catchy acid bass line. With its evocative Sade-like vocal sample, "I'm not your..." possesses an undeniable charm that adds an extra layer of depth and emotion.
This exquisite fusion of elements evokes images of sun-kissed shores and emerges as the perfect addition to any afternoon set by the tranquil lakeside.

Christopher Ledger has released an impressive amount of quality output in the past few years, on well-respected labels including the revered German Dial Records, and Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia's Amphia imprint. 

He's now launching a new alias, Taylor Aaron, seeming to lean towards broodier moods than his usual, going from eerie dub techno on Echoes in the Night on the A2 to 9.5 minute breakbeat reverie, Temporal Introduction, on the B2.

Neural Euphoria, the EP opener, is a deep delve into electro, a direction he had previously explored alongside Jamie Leather under their CLJL alias. A helix of menacing synth stabs and sinister pads whirl around one another to create tension throughout the track.

The EP will be out on Ledger's newly launched Hidden Folder label, available digitally in addition to 10 physical copies on Bandcamp.
