Love Injection is a New York music and culture monthly fanzine in print since February 2015, founded by DJs, archivists, and audio enthusiasts Paul Raffaele and Barbie Bertisch. Their namesake record label launched in 2020. Avid record and audio enthusiasts, Paul is also an art director and Barbie writes and performs music with various projects.

As one of the most reputable resident dj's in the world alongside his counterpart James Harrigan he has amassed a reputation as a fearless selector and an infamous party starter. Harri & Dom have been at it for decades, the pair have championed Saturday nights in the Sub Club since long before a generation and continue to remain two of the very best at keeping the floor moving and the dancers happy. Playing everything from disco to house, electro to techno and whatever ever else works down in that basement the pair have been keeping the party alive for over twenty years on Saturday night. The enigmatic Myles Sergé is a low flying techno producer, hard working label head and old school DJ, however he prefers the term 'reclusive perfectionist'. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Myles experienced a temporary sojourn to the beachside of the the UK's Brighton before relocating to Berlin. In some respects the American's music bypasses the melodic classicalism of Detroit for a stripped-back European take on techno, though the mettlesome machine- funk of his raw style, and rough and ready prowess behind the decks, is never too far from the outer-regions of the US' motorcity he calls home.

As a regular guest at Tresor, with no stranger to bookings at Berlin's Berghain, Griessmuehle and ://about blank, to his residency at Steevio's Freerotation festival in Wales, Myles is a shining example of how one can traverse the European-American transatlantic divide. With a belt of labels under his control - (MS), Re-Form, Dosed and Space - Myles has since moved on to count the likes of NYC's Thema, The Zenker Brother's Ilian Tape and Dan Curtin's Metamorphic imprints as home for his music. Never one to boast, Myles Sergé Clark's revised approach to the warehouse techno of his recent mixes and DJ sets keeps the quality underground.

Antigone is a key player on the Parisian scene who has helped to bring techno back into focus. He did it with his residency at Concrete, but also his releases on labels like Token, Dement3d and Soma. Whether raw and rugged, melancholic and melodic or more tracery and big room in style, he has an always interesting and complex style that stands him out from the pack. 

In the DJ booth he is focussed on detail and texture and shows that here: after a subtle atmospheric start that sinks you into deep, cavernous rhythms, the ride grows much more ragged. Jittering electro, astral techno and supple breakbeats all get carefully threaded together into a tight but adventurous hour that exudes a real sense of style.

Beyond Space And Time is the new record label from Japanese music festival, Rainbow Disco Club (RDC). RDC has been welcoming music loving people to Japan for over a decade. Throughout the festival's history, RDC have been fortunate to constantly encounter performers and DJs who've collaborated with them in establishing a beautiful dance floor year in, year out. These relationships have lead RDC to start their own label, and now gives them the opportunity to reveal one of the best-kept secrets: What is in a DJ's record bag?

This time around, festival regular DJ Nobu kindly opens up his collection and shares the music he loves with us all. On visual duty we welcome Senekt - his representational yet contemporary drawing illustrates the emotion we feel from DJ Nobu.

An old DJ set from 10 years ago. As usual, pretty random but a fun show if I remember correctly. 
Long before Ableton Live, Traktor and USB sticks with playlists, guys like me used to hump a couple of boxes of vinyl to the club, put the needle on the record and hope for the best :) Recorded direct from the mixing board, no frills! I used to love playing Fabric, many thanks to Judy, Sean, Ruthie and all my friends for the great times :)

And a big thank you to the keen listeners who helped me complete the track listing!
