Jordi, aka Llupe, and Nico, aka DJ Aficionado, share quite a few things in common: Catalan origins, a love for all things Balearic, the same street in Berlin and shows on Refuge Worldwide. They both certainly appreciate a good party, too.

Organizing parties and playing together was a natural direction for them. Their party series, Orbita, launched earlier this year, aims to create ample space for quality adult dance music. It seems to be working well, as they’ve been fortunate to host guests like Apiento, Tom of England, and Sianza, to name a few.

This mix is a recording from the last Orbita party, held at Fitzroy on what many described as the last day of summer in Berlin. For those who remember, it was a dreamy and sensual Sunday, filled with music that sounded just right in that room. It felt nice and cosy and the dancers seemed to be momentarily free from any kind of Monday angst. Playful and light, yet seriously good. Feel the magic, times two.

All around nice guy, DJ and one of the main heads man behind San Francisco's hotspot for wine and music fans Bar Part Time! And also one of the guys behind the Club Lonely parties with the best underground vibes!

Jeremy made an excellent mix for us here at Trush with the sounds of the early nineties, giving it a house infused vibe, as he states himself, house dubs on freestyle, and under the radar cheapos that have been in my bag that I wanted to use!

Recorded live at the k hole disco (Lunacy party), Angel Bar, 2025.

Aradea Barandana, widely known as Dea, began his DJ career in high school, spinning records as background music for a breakdance crew. What started as a casual exploration of rhythm soon blossomed into a passion for building community through music. Dea launched his own club night in Jakarta, where his eclectic taste began to take shape.
While studying in London, Dea delved deep into the world of underground and obscure cosmic sounds, honing a style that defies strict categorization. His sets are a rich tapestry of exotic psychedelia, infused with electronic grooves that transcend traditional genre boundaries.
Dea has released numerous records under his own name and as part of projects like Precious Bloom and Zatua. His collaborations span diverse fields, from co-creating a short film soundtrack with DJ Harvey to contributing to albums by A Mountain of One and Ricardo Villalobos. He also made waves with an EP released on Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records.
Looking ahead, Dea is set to release his highly anticipated solo album on Rush Hour Records in summer 2025, a testament to his ever- evolving artistry and deep connection to the global music scene.

H.A.N.D. MIX 068 : Dea Barandana

Good Block are a familiar duo amongst certain circles. For several years they have been steadily releasing music inspired by the funk and balearic influences of the late eighties and nineties - fusing modern sounds with the sun kissed hedonism of the past. They've been generous with it too. Always keen to share edits and tracks with friends, their music has been the secret weapon of many a DJ.

They are about to release a new album - titled 'Window' the record features a collection of dubbed out downtempo and house music which shows a growth and depth to their sound.

Based in London the pair are also seriously talented selectors - having built a reputation for their eclectic, far reaching sets which move between styles and genre.

This mix is a masterclass in a warm, glowing type of dance music - the sort that makes you long for summer and serenades you into spring.

Trushmix 238 presents Sanctuary in the mix!
After their move from Australia, Sanctuary have been immersed in the Berlin scene for close to a decade, co-hosting the former Altered Soul Experiment nights and founding their label, Life Classics. The label started as a home for their edits, then later branched out into a mix series and club residency at OHM.

For Trushmix they made a one hour and forty minutes mix. House, deep tech and late 90´s top early 00´s on the menu. Loaded with firm favourites and a number of tunes we've been bumping in the clubs over the last few months. This one hits like a warm breeze so turn up the dial and roll off into the sunset.

Guided by curiosity and a love for musical discovery, Balearic Banana open up their bags of high grade for this edition. Known for their fine taste and genre-blurring sets, Berlin based duo weave worldly treats around a strong Brazilian thread for this mix. Perfectly suited for a warm summer night, this one invites you to kick back and float off into the haze.
