About the CD:
In homage to Shindig's epic booking of Danny Tenaglia I felt it was fitting to share what is one of the most powerful and dominating mixes of all time. Nothing say's 'I'm untouchable' like no other gone before and probably still holds strong as a contender for that crown today. As a UK clubber mostly my only memory of seeing DT was his flashlight antics at Homelands, Winchester around 1999. Unfortunately that was a little too hazy than I would I liked. So it's with great sadness I'll be missing his upcoming gig at Warehouse 34 in Newcastle. But wish everyone else going a fucking brilliant night.

025 - No other mix CD out has made me want to wake up to it as much as this one. Think slowly rising from a dream/hangover with the best sound possible and that's about it. Both discs on Sasha & Digweed's Northern Exposure open with absolutely gorgeous tracks, Gus Gus's 'Believe' being an example of this. Furry Phreak's 'Soothe (Chicane Jazz)' dives deeper into the sound before the cd moves on to intelligent breaks, early trance and climaxes in what must be one of the most beautiful electronic tracks ever made... Hybrid's Symphony. This isn't just music you would wake up too, it's so good, you'd probably happily die to it as well. Another CD which raises the bar and takes it's own thrown on the Classic Mix CD series, and a fine choice for our quarter century episode. Turn it up... and enjoy the mix.

Crack Mix 594: Chez de Milo

Danny and Mike Parton draw inspiration from '90s house, French touch, disco and funk. Their modern and sophisticated tracks electrify dance floors and have done so for many years on a string of respected labels. Passionate about sampling, they transform musical influences into unique creations. For them, music is a celebration, and this vision led them to establish Jolene Records to share their passion for sound and rhythm. Mike gets this superb first EP underway with warm house gem 'Discofloor', a full flavour cut with lots of lush loops from the bassline to the sugary synths and the feel-good vocals. It's a masterfully arranged track that is always taking you higher. The fantastic 'Tounu' has a deep but fat groove with quirky percussive sounds, bright chords and lush string stabs all topped off with a funky house feeling and filtered vocal sample that brings some Afro charm. Danny's 'Someone' keeps the good times flowing with the soulful synth flourishes and jazzy brass leads, elastic drum loops and brilliantly filtered, shaped and smeared synths that run the whole thing through with heat. Last but not least, this most characterful EP is closed with 'Champagne' which layers up cosmic synth motifs, hip-swinging claps and horn loops that all cannot fail to get a dance floor loved up and bouncing.
