DJ and producer Malcolm came to our attention through his tastefully curated label, Global Warming Records, a platform that are making the end of the world sound just as they like it — just how we like it too.

Since starting the imprint Malcolm has brought friends and new producers into the fold, the likes of Ouai Stéphane, N-ERGY, Jon Beige and Sutja Gutierrez, who have all showcased their own take on dub-wise atmospherics, dystopian bass experiments and heavy syncopated rhythms.

Freshly moved from Paris to London (literally - he got off the plane a couple of days ago), Malcolm brings a touch of the dystopian and cinematic to his own productions too, which have landed on labels like Abstrack and Biologic.

Not one to churn out mixes regularly, he's prepared something very special for us. Weaving together obscurities and unreleased edits finished especially for this, Malcolm shares the moods and sounds at the core of what he does.

PODCAST ONE HUNDRED. This one had to be special… 

Last spotted on the fourth instalment of the UKF Music Podcast (as it was known back then), the one and only Flux Pavilion returns to our controls and he’s gone well and truly IN. An hour of pure bass abandonment comprising over 70 tracks ranging from house to drum & bass and all shades of gully in between, this is the sound of the Circus ringleader in his element, at his wildest. Drawing records from as far as Bungle to FuntCase, Caspa to Noisia, he’s captured and celebrated everything we love and support across the UKF network.

Raised in France both between Scottish and Argentinian roots, the voracious digger have also been heard as remixer for labels as Kump or Abstract Records, and will release his first EP in a few months on Abstraxion’s Biologic Records. For this special 44100Hz Radio journey, expect an uncommon mix of slow acid breaks, dystopian dancehall, dark electronica and dark dub grooves, loaded with unreleased and rarities from planet earth and maybe others.

It's nice how music can bring people together no matter how far away they are. I met Takumi through a small facebook group for people who love trance, and through that discovered his last mix. Very happy to host his newest one. Takumi is a Tokyo local and integral member of the techno/trance rave scene.  He has flawlessly pulled together an hour of trance gems, including a forthcoming Animalia tune ;-)

Here's something a little bit different this Wednesday, an eclectic mixtape from two exiled twenty-few-year-olds from Santo Domingo. Mauro and Gonzalo produce music as Error Subcutáneo, channeling elements of electronic influence alongside jazz and percussion infused sound design.

Their sound sits somewhere between the midst of downtempo and draws upon balearic influences, albeit with an abstract, experimental approach. 

Earlier this year they released a beat tape which caught our attention and in all honesty deserves wider acclaim. Finely tuned, grainy experiments which meanders between hip hop and the odd. 

We invited them to record this mix and in all honesty weren't entirely sure what we might get. To be honest, that is what makes the project so exciting. This is a mix made up of entirely original material from the pair, a real treat.
