Excited this month to welcome Cottam to the fold. Have been a huge fan of Cottam for many years, so much so he has his own little section on the record shelves. A true master at deep electronic machine music with soul. Cottam closes out this episode of the Reframe from the 2h 9min mark with his classic deep electronic sound.

Move D & Dolan Bergin have a special bond. In between busy schedules the pair have become close friends.

There is little left to be said about David Moufang which has not already been spoken, his continued importance to club music makes him one of the definitive figures within the genre. Across decades he has released some of the most influential records in dance, his commitment to current trends and the ongoing discovery of new music is admirable. This is what to this day makes his DJ sets so profound and exciting. 

Dolan Bergin is the man behind Electric Minds, the much loved club night and label which has travelled the world. Based out of London the label is about to celebrate it's tenth anniversary, however we have now been informed that this will be the closing act for Electric Minds. Across the label's existence they have released music by the likes of Endian, Jay Shepeard, Fold and Move D himself. It's closure will be missed. 

This edition of the Ransom Note mix is taken from a party earlier this year at Robert Johnson in Germany. It sees label boss Dolan Bergin go back to back with Move D across six hours. Strap in.

Move D & Dolan Bergin: The Ransom Note Mix Part 1

In 2017, Glasgow based label Huntleys + Palmers celebrates ten years in action. In that time, Andrew Thomson has ensured it became a fertile musical breeding ground and an impossible to pin down outlet that offers up anything from afro to techno to bass music. Auntie Flo, SOPHIE and Alejandro Paz have all emerged from the Glasgow based stable and have put out music that plays with off kilter rhythms. Andrew's curatorial ear has also made the parties of the same name just as unpredictable, and before it closed he was also a programmer at London’s legendary Plastic People. 

The mix he has served up here under the Huntleys + Palmers moniker, takes a typically widescreen view and includes “tracks that I've been playing for a while and expect I'll continue to play in years to come.” Starting steady and worldly with dub and deep cosmic grooves, it grows more twisted with wiry electronics and frazzled synths before pulling back again, then repeating the cycle. It makes for a perfectly paced and well balanced mix that bubbles and boils and always keeps you guessing without ever falling off the edge.

Constantly swimming in aural pleasures, you’ll either find Adi Toohey controlling the dancefloor from a Sydney DJ booth, presenting Saturday Sunset on FBi Radio, working in record stores or hosting parties with her Rimbombo crew. Now a graduate headliner, Toohey carved a name opening for the likes of Hunee, Young Marco, Bicep and The Black Madonna, playing Dark Mofo, Subsonic and Splendour in the Grass festivals and for interstate crews Club Coco, Lucid and A Love Supreme.  

With a musical CV like that Adi seemed a natural choice to warm up the dance floor for our inaugural B3 event with Gerd Janson, Dj Koze and Charlotte de Witte. As expected, she delivered, and played a warm and inviting two hours which set the scene for an amazing night of music. We are very pleased to release Adi’s set from that night, and we are confident that this might just be your new favourite mix.

While all of us are living the quarantine life, Good Room has asked friends and residents to share mixes for our Solitude Series so you can dance on your own. The 34th mix comes from Masha. Serbian-born/LA-based MASHA is a resident DJ and co-founder of Dig Deeper and host of NTS Radio “Beyond the Clouds.” Always digging deeper, she finds a way to surprise the audience with quality music for open minded people. Here's what she had to say about the mix...

"I play a lot of downtempo music on my NTS and Dublab radio shows so i took this opportunity to record something more dancefloor friendly for Good Room. I wanted to release some feel-good energy during these trying times. Hope you enjoy it :)"
