The lead track Rabatanto wanders between dubstep and techno influences, at once dark with sizzling bass lines and ethereal with dubby vocals and percussion samples. A club banger for any crowd.
Genuine Connection is the tool of the bunch, galloping along at 142bpm it will thrill everyone with its ultra-detailed uk bass vibe contrasting with airy and colourful synthesizers.
On the b-side, Birdsong slows the tempo down with a slow dancehall atmosphere mixed with deep subs and rap vocal samples. 

Islandish, the closing track puts the emphasis on emotions, with sentimental synth lines again combined with dub echoes and dubstep false slowness to create a one-of-a-kind stirring mood.

Antwerp-based producer BAELY announces his debut solo album, Isle of Lag. Rooted in a DIY punk rock work ethos, Isle of Lag outrageously explores distorted electronic paths with hyperpop twists and turns. The album is set for digital release on November 8 via Belgian label Cloudshaper.

The new single, dubbed Rubber Burner, is now available on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms. The track is a high-octane fusion of hyperactive beats and glitchy sound design. A whirlwind of rapid rhythms and whimsical melodies, Rubber Burner creates a surreal, digital dreamscape.

Friends, buddies, fake friends... We might think that Diogo's new EP was a treatise on fraternal love, if it were just for the title. Friendship as a cause or effect is felt in the sharing of the dancefloor where these tracks might be played, or in the collaboration that BLEID and Velvet Skin provide in the remixes they’ve created. But that would be a literal and reductionist view of this new Extended Records release.

Opening with “Bola Prá Frente;”—an incitement for music (or the devil) to descend on the body—this track features chopped, lilting, and repetitive vocals, broken rhythm, and ambient layers. It’s a party starter.

In the middle, “Caga!” bursts forth with trigger cutouts, a disguised Jay-Z appearance, some phantasmagoria, and hyperactive percussion. Watch ya mouth!

The EP closes with the hurried “Dar Ao Slide.” “Take me away,” but where to?

For dessert, BLEID accelerates the pace of “Bola Prá Frente” while Velvet Skin softens “Caga!” with a pinch of acid.

“Eu Amo Meus Amigos” is more about the music than the words. Perhaps, like friendship, it’s easier to feel than to describe. Even though the tracks don’t directly reference the titles, your friends will appreciate the statement.

Dublin-based @smallcrab makes her @scuffedrecs debut with a dubstep-inspired, three-track EP, 'Batomu'.

With two of the EP's tracks clocking in at 160BPM, Small Crab’s love of UK club genres manifests itself in her use of percussion and warping bass synths. "I wanted this to be one for the dancefloor", she says. "The centrepiece is the bassline".

RIDE’s Andy Bell, recording under his electronic alter ego GLOK, and the producer and Insult to Injury label boss Timothy Clerkin have joined forces for Alliance, a brand new seven-track album released by Bytes on November 8. The collaboration finds Andy and Tim with their freak flags flying, working in a freewheeling environment where nothing was off limits, with influences ranging from Death in Vegas and Boards of Canada to James Holden and New Order.

The woozy ‘Empyrean’, which combines the analogue-decayed production of Boards of Canada and the ethereal vocals of ‘Xtal’ from Aphex Twin’s Selected Ambient Works 85-92 with a fizzing behemoth of a synth line, is a fitting way to launch the album as it was the first track they worked on together. “It’s basically a Timothy Clerkin remix of a demo I sent him,” Andy explains. “I can’t get enough of it. To me, it’s one of the best tracks I’ve ever been involved with since I started making music.”

Those who take themselves too seriously are lame. Those who like fun are better. 

Niklas Wandt is a Berlin based instrumentalist, producer and disc jockey who has worked on a sprawling array of musical endeavours across years. As the founder of the Smells party at Sameheads in the German capital he has found firm friends amidst the likes of Jan Schulte, with whom he released a collaborative album on Growing Bin Records last year, Cass., Kris Baha and Sascha Funke. The latter of which he has recently worked alongside to produce a new record for the ever exciting Multi Culti Record label. 

His roots lie within a sea of abstract music, experimental discoveries and tall tales. His influences range from dub to Kosmisch synth excursions, balearic to jazz, percussion freakouts to abstract pop and the wide realm beyond. As a result this mix and his own approach as a disc jockey is far reaching with a playful edge, the journey should cast a smile, the sounds simply a reflection of his personality and taste across a lifetime spent discovering new noise.
