Destined to put together sounds that are a bit more exciting than the predictable four to the floor, Pedro Aguiar's album Landscapes and Heartbreaks contains more twists and turns than a particularly indecisive river. With everything from choirs to wind instruments to all sorts of technological goodness, you can listen to the album one track at a time below as Pedro guides you through this aural adventure. Here's how he describes his debut aural outing;

"This album represents my occasional urge to escape the 4/4 world. I love the freedom of not worrying with what people will think of my music or if they will play my songs or not. I guess this is quite a selfish album in the sense that I didn’t really wanted to please anyone. I had no grand plan to make an album nor any aspirations to release it with a record label but about a year ago, I had a listen to a variety of my unfinished projects that I had made over the past 3 years and most of it really sounded like an album when pieced together. And so my first album was born."

C.A.R also known as Chloé Raunet formerly of Battant follows up the release of her album, ‘My Friend’, with single Glock’d. 

We've got the great honour of premiering the The Asphodells aka Andrew Weatherall and Timothy J. Fairplays remix of the track. GLOCK’D is C.A.R’s trademark washed out sarcasm and bleached cynicism. The track forages paths through Chloe’s dark mind. It was one of the first songs she wrote on her own, and was recorded down in the bunker with Timothy J Fairplay himself. The remix from Andrew and Tim voyages through ethereal atmospheric electronics and edges into glam-stomp territory.

Elsewhere Les Disques De La Mort protégé and R$N favourite Manfredas reworks album track Angelina plus there's also a fresh new track ‘Silk’. A Rhodes rendition recorded live in Paris "on a cold winter’s day."

Phillip Lauer seems to be generating a vast amount of music at present. Every couple of weeks an email will drop into our busy inboxes with a new release or remix from the Tuff City Kids member. His album for Permanent Vacation last year caught our attention with it's zealous melodies and excitable percussion. It was a real feel good affair which can often go amiss. His sensibilities remain similar on his latest release for Futureboogie. It seemed an odd choice of release for both the label and artist, however, after a listen it begins to make perfect sense.

Aitor Etxebarria is the man behind the mystic artist from Bilbao “El_Txef_A”.

Aitor, born and raised in the Basque Country, is in that group of artists sparingly measuring their output, always searching for the new, aiming for high quality instead of constant, monotonous releases. El_Txef_A stands for a specific and complex sound signature. His primary concern to develop a sound that people can identify with as well as just simply enjoy freely.

In his discography we find releases on labels like “Permanent Vacation”, “Mule Electronic” or “Hypercolour”. Aitor has released two long play Albums “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room (2012)” and “We Walked Home Together (2014)” on his own imprint, Fiakun.

It’s common to see him playing every week around Europe and America. At an early age, he has played in many of the leading clubs in the underground scene like Watergate (Berlin), Out (New York), SpyBar (Chicago), Module (Tokyo)…
