In the middle of the summer Yeho, an Israeli musician coming from Tel Aviv, was wandering around Italy and randomly he found himself in the “Quintino Basement”, lair of Ninja Exotic Machine.
This casual encounter gave birth to three new tracks where the
duo’s downtempo and tribal style merges with Yeho’s crisp and raw vocal together with intriguing percussions samples extracted from live recordings of the percussionist Andrea Greco.
The result is an Ep called “36 questions” out on Pho Bho Records on the 14th of October.

LWS is a Glasgow based producer who specializes in the creation of off-kilter leftfield techno grooves. Having had releases on Glasgow’s own TDSR alongside mixes for Balamii and Project Radio, he starts off 2022 with the first installation of his new imprint 'Matrice. The outlet serves as a home for LWS’ unique productions which were amassed over the past two years, backed by an archive of over 80 original works.
The B-side ‘Brewing’ is a pure modular jam, featuring heavily mutated and distorted drum grooves made on the Moog DFAM. The track maintains an eerie vibe throughout, slowly chugging and progressing underneath bleak pads and dissonant melodies.

There was a harsh chill in the air this evening; it was a sudden departure from the warm days they'd become accustomed to of late. Shorts and T-Shirts were quickly exchanged for jumpers and scarves and the smiling groups who'd gathered each day to bask and bathe in the sunshine were no longer anywhere to be seen. What a contrast from one day to the next, not only in the weather or the people's attire but the mood that it provoked...

As a producer, remixer and collaborator, Rome's A-Tweed has been busy at work of late. His productions have been coming out think and fast on the likes of Playground records, Feines Tier, Duro, Sinchi Collective and Electric Shapes - the Lithuanian label he's making a return to for his newest release Crack Of Dawn. Two originals and two reworks from Electric Shapes affiliate Rambal Cochet and Aditya Permana make up the release, all of which are built on sludgy, crawling acid, trance and EBM influences.

The cosmic web is the building block of the cosmos – consisting primarily of dark matter and laced with gas – on which galaxies are built. And it is also the source of inspiration for the forthcoming release by Joseph Tagliabue, a sound engineer, selector and music producer based in Milan, Italy. His versatility and restlessness combined with sharp creativity are translated into contemporary themes brought to life through modern and innovative production techniques. 

Owner of a sonority that seamlessly combines old and new influences, Tagliabue’s output has already found home in respected multi-genre labels such as Slow Motion, Sinchi, Pizzico, Karakter, Les Yeux Orange, IDA, Kalahari Oyster Cult, and now Glasgow-based Invisible, Inc. with “Un' Altra Forma Di Vibrazioni” (“Another Form Of Vibration” in English), a nine-track (yes, all originals) LP forthcoming on vinyl and digital formats.

Throughout the album, Tagliabue explores so many textures and soundscapes, from ambient to experimental, from psychedelic to trance, which turns the mission of pigeonholing it into a specific genre a tough one. But yeah, let’s say it is electronic, shall we?

Premiered here, “Materia Visible” is a soothing and mesmerizing cut with a Balearic-meets-Downtempo-meets-Krautrock atmosphere, provided through Mediterranean percussive elements, smooth guitar riffs, fluid synth layers, and a gorgeous bassline.

Not many people knew about the wonders of this underground party. It was, and always had been, a word of mouth situation, restricted to those who were non-judgmental and willing to let go of their inhibitions. This is the way it would always be: it ensured the space to be safe, sacred and untouched, and the partygoers to be faces who'd soon become friends and not remain strangers. 

For their next release, a digital two-tracker titled The Leisure Hive, NYC's Throne Of Blood link up three Philadelphian artists: Optimo and Les disques de la mort signees Zillas On Acid and Permanent Vacation and Mister Saturday Night alumni Alex Burkat. The three artists first met at Dave P's Making Time parties where the former duo have been resident DJs for years. It's this night that inspired the idea behind this new release: two "psychedelic dance floor jams" that are custom-made to soundtrack the frivolities at open-minded soirees like Making Time.

Rather than talk your ear off all night, Pulling Strings are back with their sophomore release, a carefully honed trio of all-engulfing dancefloor meditations.

Kicking things off is Cape Town’s own Biodive, who delivers Red Eclipse – an exemplary balance of rumbling warehouse breaks and warm, enveloping synths.

Returning to the northern hemisphere, Johnny Flowers picks things up with M3 To Infinity, a more urgent offering that flits between ‘Headz era bass effects and the emotive atmospherics that Pulling Strings delight in providing.

Finally, the puppet master Herald Walk returns with Come Closer, another distinctive club cut peppered with sonic bon mots and peak time conversation starters.

All proceeds will be donated to the Voices of Children Foundation in Ukraine - a charity dedicated to providing psychological and psychosocial care for children affected by the consequences of conflict.

He'd become a master in the art of lying; his charm, wit and good looks helped him in that arena. The lines had blurred so much between fact and fiction that he almost believed his own tall tales these days - he'd created a persona that was so far removed from the way he used to be. Many of his old friends no longer felt like they knew him; his priorities had changed and somewhere along the road he'd lost himself.

Art punk ravers The Umlauts are following up their recent release for PRAH Recordings with a remix package featuring several producers and label alumni. Each bringing their own styles to the table, and all a perfect fit to amp up the frenzied energy of the originals, the EP rallies the likes of London based sound-designer Yuri Suzuki, Teleman drummer Hiro Ama and duo Uh, among many others. 

Speaking about Yuri Suzuki's track, the band said: "Yuri Suzuki’s remix of The Fact was pure joy to hear, we love it. It remedies the samba punk of the original with pure unfettered dance groove. Am I tapping my foot? Yes. Am I nodding my head? Yes again. Am I doing a slightly awkward side step? Indeed I am, oh yes. Yuri is the perfect birthing partner. Go and listen to everything else he has made, listen twice, it’s all brilliant."
