Coming on the scene on Bambounou's Bambe label, Munich based producer @Polygonia presents 'Otro Mundo'. An exciting pack of extraordinary sonic pieces driven by intense rhythms with a strong focus on sound design and colorful harmonies. Next to her intriguing Grey Area works on this record, she also weaves two four to the floor productions into this collection, all featuring complex works on the drums and juicy sound aesthetics.

The story begins with 'Otro Mundo,' as Polygonia extends a harmonious and melancholic invitation, blending her own layered vocals with organic dubby beats, creating a captivating otherworldly atmosphere. Throughout the EP, Polygonia's distinct percussion and inventive sound design shine brightly. 'Mind Alteration' and 'Implosion Of The Known' lead the listener through mesmerizing groove-scapes, elevating perception to new heights. As the EP unfolds, 'Never Have I Seen...' offers a metaphysical experience, unveiling unknown marvels through rhythmic shifts.

The record comes with an impressive sleeve designed by Dimitri Erhard, representing the window to the other world.

Rarely do albums strike quickly and establish themselves as a must-listen but Iridescent, the latest from Aussies Pugilist and Pod, forth-coming on Of Paradise does exactly that. Fans of the Melbourne based artists shouldn’t be surprised at all, Pugilist’s commanding grip on proper sound design always has his tracks on rotation around the scene. Meanwhile Pod, aka Wu Kush is no stranger to well executed housey productions, although for today, we’ll be honing in on his bass, and jungle moniker.

Mystic slides in at B2 on the 8 track release (9 with a digital bonus track). Low slung bass lines, and jungle like percussion start the track off strongly. Giving great feelings of groove and movement, as snappy bongos and flitting accents play off each other, panned too and fro. As the track progresses, a simple yet effective melody materializes - reminiscent of a night out with moody pads.

Expect Pugilist and Pod’s Iridescent release hitting the shelves, and out digitally on the 29th of November.

There was change in the air, some sort of strange shift.

The tone of the evening had become ominous and menacing as the lights flickered and flashed beneath the bridge. Cars went past oblivious to the crowd who had gathered upon the bridge to watch the race unfold. In the distance the sound of engines could be heard from up on the hillside.

Plastic egos were aplenty, fragile yet furious in equal measure.

Soon everything would be dark but for the headlights careering through the darkness. They'd watch from overhead as they drove strikingly beneath - onwards and into the black.

Trip The Light originated in Manchester but is now based in Berlin, the collective, come partym come label have been at the forefront of a new wave of bass music which challenges the preconceptions of the genre and this new release from one of their residents Akïi cements that.
