We're big fans of the Cold Tonic crew and they blew the roof off last time they joined us in the shop for an in-store session with label heads Krystal Klear and Maurice Alexander playing alongside Gerd Janson and Philip Laurer. Since their first release we've been strong supporters of their imprint and but their newest release really caught our attention since it features a brand new signing on the flip. "Nothing But A Freak" marks Sandboards musical debut and we can't get enough of it! The emotional House cut combines rattling drums and melancholic chords to comfortably sit underneath a spoken word monologue about the one thing that keeps us moving... We're very excited to see what this the New Zealand duo comes up with next! Keep an eye on these two, we have the feeling they'll be coming up quick! in the meantime, reserve a copy of of their new split release with Krystal Klear ahead of the official release at the end of the month.

The trees blew gracefully in the autumn breeze as the sky turned a beautiful shade of crimson red. It echoed the glowing colour which poured from the trees and lay scattered across the forest floor. Upon the wind there was the faint sound of music, a song about a dream and the pensive wish for a season lost to the depths of darkness. It felt like this every year, autumn had shown the colours of the season once more and banished the summer far, far away. 

Al Zanders is the next to appear on the Phonica Records label. The imprint run by the London based record store has moved from strength to strength as of late having released music by the likes of Roman Flugel, Peggy Gou and many more.

Hi. Welcome back. We’re very pleased to present a new record by Ian Wyatt, performing under the name Local Artist. He’s one of the co-founders of Mood Hut, and you may remember him from his music on the Proibito and Rhythm Section record labels. You may also have checked out his releases under the moniker Slow Riffs, including the Gong Bath 12” from 2015. 

This wonderful record can be played at any time of the day or night and is also a great thing to play in the home or in the club. Drums, bass, keyboards, as well as other sounds and outboard effects (including delay) are all present. The artwork was done by Logan Sturrock and Local Artist. Dancer / Dreamer will be available in vinyl and digital formats this summer. We hope you enjoy!

Hailing from Santiago, Chile and currently residing in Milan, Italy, Paula Tape drops her debut release on vibes-specialists Sounds Of Beaubien Ouest.

Run by Project Pablo, who delivers this gorgeous downbeat remix of lead track 'Agua Congas', the label has been a strong part of the Canadian wave of hazy house and blissed-out production. Paula Tape's EP is another solid addition to the family.
