The third of Breaka’s self-releases sees collaborations between himself, known-associate Frazer Ray, and brother Bakey.
“Fun with a capital F is the theme of this EP. I selected these four with that in mind, each one also bringing a different flavour of the UK sound. ‘The Loudest Woiioii Ever’ and ‘Phone’s Ringin’ are the product of a few sessions that me and Frazer managed to squeeze in last year. We were hugely inspired by early dubstep, instrumental grime, and of course UK Funky.
For the flip, I thought it was high time to release some of me and my brother’s productions for the world to hear. ‘Club Dynamics’ takes things right up to 150bpm, and draws on Jungle and Juke influences. We round off the release with ‘Pro Perc', a UKG groover to vibe out to, named after the now closed drum shop on Kentish Town Road we’d visit as kids.“

To honour the frequent mood changes and feelings of relative isolation experienced in the last 2 years, the A side aims to reconnect those lost moments with "Déjà Vu" & "Future Retro" - both tracks channelling a UK centric sound for the dancefloor and a further proof of the depth and quality found across Pugilist's back catalogue. The B side flaunts a completely parallelled sound palette with "Static", a down tempo dubby track partnered by the beautifully stylish "Sky Blue". Wandering between the city streets I cast my mind back to days gone by - lost friends, late nights and distant memories of faces and places I can't recall.

Despite all of this it was the same brickwork, the same broken cobbles and pavestones upon which I tread wildly atop into the morning. 

A cup of coffee and a paper will do, let's see what the world's done now. The sound of birds chirping in the trees as I enter the park, the remnants of a big weekend scattered over by the bin. 

Some might not think much of this place, to them it means little. However, to a geezer like me, it was paradise and the sense of opportunity hung thick and lingered in the air. 

Amy Dabbs and Coco Bryce have collaborated to release a killer four track EP on the newly launched record label LT-Coda, an offshoot of Lobster Theremin. We don't say this lightly when we hint that this may be one of our favourite releases of the year so far - sun kissed samples and euphoria aplenty this one rocks.
