The three tracks for this EP are lovingly crafted using his collection of vintage drum machines, samplers and expansive modular setup, and are presented in both stereo and Dolby Atmos. Opener 'havin it' is quick-stepping, low slung house cut lit up with glistening chords and gorgeous soul samples that shine through next to low-key but euphoric 90s trance progressions. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside while remaining locked to the groove. 'lush' is just that, with summery harp strums shimmering across dusty and speedy deep house drums that sweep you up and fill your heart with hope and joy. It's a richly layered sound with a curiousness that truly enchants. Lastly, 'WNE' straightens your back with upright and snappy drums, woody percussion and frayed edged chords that have a cosy nostalgic glow. Coated in a lo-fi haze, plunging bass and aching vocal fragments pull you in different directions as you hurry to keep up with the frisky groove.

Kenya presents her new debut EP for Talking Machine after joining the label crew in 2024, titled Fractal Vision. The EP consists of 3 tracks, accompanied by 2 remixes by Anatolian Weapons and Arvin Fajar. The EP itself narrates about a journey through emotion and experience, capturing the essence of growth, introspection, and transformation, one that creates a dynamic landscape. From every track, it is something that developed naturally through the textures and layers of the sound it self, create something that feels like telling a story through sound.

The EP starts off with Transfer Your Energy with steady bassline that knocks the track gently, keeping the listener on the ground. The dreamy bells that surrounds the track make an important role to the mood, chased by distort sound and noise with on the bridge, an intense acidic layers and synths with high hat that gives house feels to build up the energy itself, caving your ears until it stops.

For the second track is Turbulence, a mid tempo track that gives a sense of hypnotizing along the track, with modulated bassline, atmospheric pads with long decay and subtle granular processing, sporadic high-resonance synth fills for dynamic contrast, and dissonant high-register minor stabs for tonal tension, complemented by organic flow, and stabilized by a classic kick drum for foundational weight.

For the ending, Fractal Vision, an uptempo journey driven by a groovy bassline and some bittersweet background synths to give the sense from the EP itself, layered with snare fills that clash playfully against a trashy front snare, while dual harmony synths intertwine to trigger the emotion, all subtly underscored by a spoken words that deliver thematic messaging without disrupting the momentum.

A transforming beast of a track, it mutates into an intense, acidic bassline-driven force, layered with glitchy electronic synths that guide the listener through a turn-around journey—an invitation to both dance and pause. Smart sequencing sustains tension, building an immersive bridge for a heavy-hitting drop. A short-decay, raw yet polished snare knocks from the back, with mid-tone percussive textures subtly shaping the groove. Perfectly placed hats charge the atmosphere unconsciously—injecting housey. Near the close, a spoken message adds deeper meaning—a final treat before the sound disappears into the ether.

A trance-style synth melody gradually builds up with an opening filter, increasing energy and creating a festive, euphoric vibe—like an outdoor rave. A steady rhythm and acid-style effects swirl in the background, adding depth. As the track progresses, a layered melody slowly emerges, staying strong and steady. A deep bassline quietly supports everything, giving the track a solid foundation. Crisp hi-hats shape the rhythm, making room for key vocal moments that draw the listener in. All the sounds come and go smoothly, keeping the flow tight and intentional.

DJ Ethanol makes his debut on QRUK with Test Press EP, a heavyweight, release that fuses elements of UKG, Breaks and Electro through a transatlantic lens. Originally from the underground scenes of North Carolina, and now based in Edinburgh, DJ Ethanol brings a rugged, textural sound shaped by free parties. The title track is a driving cut that layers industrial percussion, acid stabs and fractured vocal chops into something raw and unpredictable.

On remix duties is UK veteran UMT, whose decades-deep history in Garage and Breakbeat culture informs a stripped-back, sub-loaded take on the original. Hayes Bradley is a composer, producer, and DJ who works across dance music, ambient, and film scoring as well as curating sound for key fashion brands. He has DJed at major events, including Insomniac’s Forever Midnight NYE Festival, as well as in Tokyo, Berlin, and New York. He formerly toured with Kaytranada as part of his American Dance Ghosts group and released his debut EP, ‘These Things Take Time’, back in 2017.

He has since released three albums, including the critically acclaimed ambient debut ‘1-9’ via Secular Sabbath Records, and two ethereal follow-ups, ‘Anywhere For Now’ & ‘Recommence (I/VII)’. Now he joins L.A. label Stratasonic for his latest musical adventure. This first single is a taster of an eclectic and adventurous forthcoming album, which pairs widescreen progressive, melodic broken beats with introspective songwriting and peak-time club euphoria.

Says the artist, "'Total Call' is personal chaos. Chaos, most people try to mask by acting normal. If you're crying or fucked up or panicking in public, you try and cover it up. I think everyone should just lean into whatever they are feeling and care less about the people staring back. The drums and synth pulls are masked by a common guitar riﬀ. But in the end, the guitar sound vanishes and you're just left with who you truly are. Whatever that may be, so probably just be that."

'Total Call' bursts open with gritty, raw guitar riﬀs that drive straight into thunderous breakbeats built for peak-time intensity. This visceral release of inner tension features sinewy synth lines twisting through the chaos, with a potent bassline that keeps the pressure high. It's honest, unfiltered, and sure to electrify any set.

Sonikku comes riding back into the Lobster Theremin's tropical gardens with a flurry of sparkling, arpeggiator-driven ambient jams featuring three extended reworks from NTS regular Mobbs. 
Sonikku's originals apply a drier and skit-length pop approach to synth-based home listening. Building a borderline-saccharine melodic base to each track then upping the sheen with a tropical and twinkling production. Shots of balearic appear in 'Earth Temple', Christmas jingles echo from the depths of 'Diamond Dust', while 'Sky Garden' channels a more direct emotional palette of warm synthesizer heartbreak. 
Mobbs' approach is to allow each track to breathe around it's core strengths over a longer time frame, whilst enhancing and encouraging each element to make it's space and time to enter the track. The shifts and swaying structures turn shorter synth ideas into fully blown journeys that become hypnotic by the end. A soft, dream-like ride into bliss.

The mighty jungle cat roared with abandonment and pride as he ran free from the towering walls of the zoo which had kept him imprisoned for so long. It was no problem that he might never return, the wind blew prominently against his fur as he darted between the trees under the glow of the moonlight. It was desperately cold under the chill of winter but that had been the incentive for a fantastic escape, a driving force behind the evacuation which had been coming for oh so long. 

Apres Ski appears on a new compilation set for release on the 13th of March later this month. He features alongside an array of Irish counterparts on the first compilation being released by Dublin Digital Radio, a station which has championed up and coming Irish talent across the breadth of electronic music.
