The water poured elegantly from the edge of the cliff. The wet rocks were lined with moss and wild flowers due to the damp conditions. As she walked under the falls she looked upwards towards the great blue sky, her mind a million miles away from the problems and stresses that she had left back home. Deep in the jungle she was now very much at ease, the warm humid air which surrounded her was intoxicating and deeply comforting. 

Axefield is next to release on the evolutionary Atomnation record label. Not ones to stand still the label turns its focus towards an up and coming producer with a penchant for deep. dusty house.

Fresh from releases on the legendary Vibraphone and Robsoul labels, alongside their own long-running Bosconi imprint, Fabio Della Torre & Ennio Colaci aka Minimono join the Inner Balance family for an EP of four fine house dishes. Each cut gives us a different taste of classic house, from the sharp Melchior shuffle of 'Goblin' to the sweet rhodes and walking bassline of 'On The Edge', which wouldn't sound out of place in the Fair Park catalogue. 'Still Alive' is a light confection of soft pads topped with subtle improvisations, while 'This Side Of The Forest' delivers a more flavoursome Sir Lord Commix-style groove. Satisfaction guaranteed.

The noise echoed in the empty chamber. The room was lined with metallic plates and the sound bounced in expansive chaos as the walls rattled. The light glowed a pale, glistening, medicinal white and the foghorn of a speaker continued to blare the same tune repetitively. Men marched asleep to the sound of a kick which banged and banged. Then all of a sudden there was a change, a melody, a twist of fate within a space which had once been so cold. 

Anthony Fade are an Australian duo with a sense of purpose. Having previously released on Tomahawk, Lost Palms and House Crime they now feature on Shall Not Fade accompanied by a legend in the form of Andres. He steps up to remix "Same Tune".

After a year of learning how to work some of the machines in my studio this is one of the resulting records. A three tracker with some straight house feels on the a side with "Busted" featuring a lot of DX100 keys and bass and a heavy helping of sass.
The b-side features a more ambient Italo with some heavy string and arp tracks to take you on a late night drive.

A new piece incoming from Brooklyn based producer and record label head Jacques Renault. 'When you know you know' is the sort of meandering tune, the many layers of which can easily trick the listener into thinking they're listening to a mix. No, this is not the case, the morphing nature takes the listener on a journey, expect 90's piano lines, break beat-y breaks, choral undertones, and deep house-esque synth jabs. Quite an achievement in under five and a half minutes, guess that's why the title is 'if you know, you know.

The latest record from BBC is a trio of tracks that are serene as they are deep. Crystalline synth work and achingly beautiful pads set a tone for this record which makes it as good at home as it is in the club.

Infrared is a cut that feels right in the middle between Burials emotional blurr and something more defined.

Sweetheart pushes the boundaries of what a House track is, edging away from what is easily perceptible and into a warm un-reality that just draws you in.

Closing the record Twelve Measures feels like the early experimentations with tape and electronics brought bang up to date and with no little punch. Together this record offers something new, in a space where it is certainly needed.
