We’ve got your Friday techno fix covered from the one and only, Mark Broom returns to Rekids ahead of his 100% Juice Album Sampler. This is techno funk of the highest order from the UK don.

Mark Broom has been making classic techno cuts since the early 90’s and his work serves as inspiration to many today. Through his work under Mark Broom and several seminal alias’s including Rue East, Lighter Thief, Killa Productions, The Fear Ratio and more, the London techno don remains one of the most authoritative figures in UK techno.

The record making machine has landed 12 inches on world renowned labels such as Blueprint Records, Rekids, M-plant, EPM, Cocoon, Bpitch Control, Warp Records and the legendary Ifach with Baby Ford.

Broom has also collaborated with techno giants Robert Hood, Floorplan, Alan Fitzpatrick, Gary Beck and more.

His track ‘Spiked’ is a funk-laden groove that is simply irroestiable in it’s simple yet funky nature. Broom is in a league of his own when it comes to wonky techno grooves, as unruly leads flutter atop of the jacking groove. This is vintage broom with a modern twist, everything you would come to expect from the king of jacking techno and so much more.

PREMIERE – Azole – Pulpa (Endrik Schroeder ‘Driving to Heaven’ Remix) (Where were we?)

She couldn't recall a sunset so breathtaking; shades of purple, red, gold and orange seared through the sky, burning hot like the embers of a fire. It framed the desert, making the landscape feel a little less expansive and sprawling than it really was. This place was truly magical, it were as though the scenery was for her eyes only, a secret that nobody else was allowed to know.

Lithuania's Where Were We? are following up their last release from Azole with a stellar remix release. The duo's EP, Mr. Sutherland - a titular tip of the hat to the Australian keys maestro - was packed full of bouncy Italo jams and funky grooves, which get driven into more interstellar realms on this new package. All adept at manoeuvring in cosmic worlds, alongside alternate takes from Endrik Schroeder and Ivan Fabra, the label bring on board regular remixers Black Feeling and Romain Fx, who takes us on a joy ride through the desert with his "Valley of The Moon" remix.

After the launch of the original Azole's "Mr. Sutherland EP" in February, WWW is back with the much-anticipated remix pack.
Retaining the label's staple remixers Romain Fx and Black Feeling, WWW is introducing 2 well-seasoned producers to the roster.
Both Endrik Schroeder and Ivan Fabra are not new names in the game and both have a string of very well-received releases under the belt of proper labels. 

Both Endrik and Ivan are delivering their own signature sound and we're sure that their skillful work on the original tracks will transport you to outer space.

Letting Your Mind Go سافر بخيالك” is a transcendental rave journey that bridges continents and cultures. Featuring Moroccan singer Himaart and a percussionist, the track layers raw emotion with hypnotic rhythms, acid-tinged synth lines, and ethereal atmospheres.

The vocals are sung without literal meaning, a universal language that sidesteps barriers and resonates through feeling alone. The result is both heavy with tension and wide open with release, a cathartic space meant to loose people on dance-floors.

It captures Romain FX’s vision of music as a shared, borderless experience, a sonic trip that invites listeners to surrender control and simply let go.

France via Hong Kong artist Romain FX joins the Sound Of Vast roster this October with the ‘Musique De Maison’ EP, including a remix from Monkey Timers.

Romain has been a key innovator in the Hong Kong & Asian music scene for the past 18 years in various different facets, building bridges between cultures and erasing borders through music. He has since taken a step into the world of production and his music has been played by some of the biggest acts in the game such as DJ Harvey, The Black Madonna, Gerd Janson, Horse Meat Disco, Skatebärd, Lauer, Tornado Wallace, Lipelis, Orpheu The Wizard, Kamma & Masalo and many more. Here his musical production story continues with his latest collection of works coming via the esteemed Tokyo imprint, Sound Of Vast.

Leading the release is title-cut ‘Musique De Maison’, a five-minute excursion through organic percussion grooves, snaking elongated bass tones, intricately intertwined vintage-leaning synth melodies and an overall cosmic disco aesthetic that reflects Romain’s borderless, cross-cultural sound. ‘Tonal Spices’ follows and ups the energy levels with a sturdy rhythm section, squelchy acid licks, murky bass stabs, Indian vocals and cinematic strings ebbing and flowing throughout.

Monkey Timers take on ‘Musique De Maison’ next with their interpretation extracting the core essence of the original and reshaping it into a dynamically unfurling rework, fusing fragments of the original with expansive delays, heavy reverberations and modulating synth work. The ‘Psych-O-Delic (Live Mix)’ then concludes the release with off-kilter drums running in combination with, as the name would suggest, tripped-out melodies, processed spoken word and warbling synth licks — a nod to Romain’s playful, surrealist edge.
