The hot air balloon drifted up into the sky, it could be seen overlooking the city, those perched in the tiny wicker basket below watched down upon a busy world of hustle and bustle.

The sky was clear but in the distance there was the odd cloud splattered against a deep radiant blue backdrop. The sun beamed down upon them as they continued to rise in the glow of the morning.

Perhaps this is what it felt like, flying that is. He’d always imagined it might be weightless and freeing, yet as he sat perched in the small booth he realised it was far more than that. It was a sense of being, a state of forever in which you might never land and touch back down to earth. That would be dreamy he thought..

Yuu Udagawa is set to release a new EP, a fruity assortment of fun electronic mischief which is reminiscent of early DJ Koze and old downtempo beat tapes. This one gets a big green tick and a thumbs up from us.

A dynamic and driven celebration of techno, ‘Intelligent Jump Rope Music’, is a highly crafted and focused release by Thai producer ‘Sarayu’. The four track EP is an exquisite selection of darker club focused tracks, featuring an uplifting and celebratory remix from one of Europe's finest club producers Locked Groove.
	
Though shifting styles the four track EP presents a producer within his element, a craft of high quality and club ready dance music. On the A side, Sarayu opens the EP with the ‘The Bag’, a myriad of infused warm synths and driving hats placing the listener solidly on the club floor. E30 Track (A2) then follows with a much moodier bass filled aura, fluidly moving the listeners onwards with a set of sizzling synths and well crafted drums. On the B side the Album title ‘Intelligent Jump Rope Music’ drops the tempo to 120 bpm with acid tinged synths and dynamic snares. B2 then brings in Locked Groove, driving the tempo back to 136 bpm with an ecstatic club finish, intertwining floating sets of emotional synths and grooving hits together to tremendous result.

PREMIERE : Sarayu - Intelligent Jump Rope Music

Something had to give, that much was certain. The situation had become unsustainable and one of them needed to take their leave - who would be the one to take the hit though was another matter entirely... There was a lot riding on that decision. They'd hoped all of this would end in a graceful, amicable compromise but the reality was far from that, only time and space could heal these wounds now. 

You can't mention Tin Man without mentioning acid. The producer has become synonymous with the 303, using the infamous machine to create all kinds of squelchy and hypnotic variations for Global A Records, Acid Test and Infrastructure New York as well as teaming up with artists like John Tejada and Jozef K. For his next release, he makes his debut on Bureau B with Arles, a release that departs from his usual dance floor offerings and explores beautiful melodies and cosmic vibrations - there's no question it's still a Tin Man creation though.

Weirdo London based producer Birds is back with a new release on her label, Feed The Void and this time she’s brought a few friends with her. The sophomore release features music from DJ Blech, Parallel, Tadan and V2 and Bereza, as well as a new track from herself. 

Opener ‘For Want Of’ is a dubby, acid infused chugger from Laster Records founder DJ Blech. ‘Snake’ by Parallel sees him put out his most breaks influenced release yet, following some slower indie-dance inspired releases on labels such as NEIN and Inflect. ‘Humanity’s Absence’ by label founder, Birds, is an intense bass heavy track featuring her signature reverb laden dystopian rhythms, off-kilter synth-lines and of course some acid. Tadan and V2 continue on with the dark Lynchian vibes with their sludgy punk driven electro track ‘Don’t Tell Me’, recorded during one of their late night studio sessions. Bereza is a new Alias of Anton Berezin (Seven Knives / Wolfstream/ Otchim) and is something completely different from anything he’s done before. He provides the VA’s closing track ‘Mates’ which is heavy duty breaks belter. The aim of Feed The Void is to provide a platform for the various genres that inspire Birds (real name Katie Wilkinson) and this first various artists compilation really does just that.

Barkley Bandon is creeping out of the shadows once again, this time for his sophomore EP Heaven Was A Failure. The illusive London-based producer first popped up on our radar through his Bandcamp self-releases, then again when his debut EP Always Gonna Wait For You landed in our inbox last year. On this brand new release for South London party-turned-label Scenic Route, he explores themes of desire and intimacy through his sleazy, stripped back cocktail of tripped out rhythms, infectious pop melodies and hypnotic bass grooves.
