The Madrid based musician is set to return to our in house record label with a new EP packed with jacking acid riffs and playful melody. The three track EP follows on from his previous release on the label which first emerged in spring of last year. The forthcoming release has already been well received by the likes of Erol Alkan, Lena Willikens, Cosmo Vitelli and more.

Routa is a beefy banger dedicated to Ruta Del Bakalao (aka the greatest Spanish rave doc ever made), with all the gleefully belligerent stomp of Homework era Daft Punk.

She licked her lips provocatively as she stared him up and down. In the distance there was music playing but the pair cared not for such ambience beneath the glow of the moonlight. Before them the waves rolled gracefully upon the dusty sand, the palm trees blowing delicately in the warm air. The sky was a bitter shade of black, the stars faintly visible behind the gloomy clouds. This was not some sort of peaceful paradise but a stormy romance on an island lost.

Justin Robertson's Deadstock 33s - Numerical Discord Swap

Days of Being Wild kicks off 2018 welcoming back french producer OFFSET to their imprint. Philippe Juven, that's his name, delivers three fresh cuts that will take you from a night drive back to San Junipero circa 1986. As always with OFFSET the sound is huge, machine cold but oh so human warm, perhaps exploring a more melodic or romantic side of the producer, definitely a nostalgic one. “Night Drive” with its robotic beat, syncopated bass and repetitive pop vocals drenched in reverb is reminiscent of these treasured 12” extended mixes found on the b-sides of your favourite techno pop band of the 80’s. You know the ones carved by Ship Pettibone and the likes and where you didn’t need to suffer the emo chorus of the original. “Chase” with its post nuke sequences is a trip straight down to your favourite video club where real size cardboard shapes of Snake Plissken and The Terminator were shadowy figures welcoming you to the sci-fi section.

“Daywalker” is a completely original, synthesised outing. A sleazy lead line charms and slithers upwards between layers of syncopated tabla and a sultry acidic groove. The tune spins and twists around this central oriental theme, ever-evolving as layers of detailed percussion and ad-libbed melodies intensify the tone.

'Space Bass' is his first release of Codek but follows successful releases on labels such as Night Noise and Emerald & Doreen amongst others. His sound can be defined by a fusion of Nu Disco, Italo, Cosmic Disco-Funk and Balearic vibes, applying 80s analog synthesizers, modern technology and pin-sharp production to ′80s bass heavy Italo sounds.

This EP features 2 originals, the title track (which is remixed by Eve and Yuki Tosaya) and 'Rising Pulsar'.
