written, produced and mixed by Nick Mackrory & Phil Banks
The original version was created by Nick & myself, Autumn 2017, using various Roland, Dave Smith, Doepfer hardware, plus additional live percussion.

Side B: Forgotten Corner - Prosthetic Limbo (Cassini Division remix)
Cassini Division is Kyle Martin’s solo project. His previous remix on forg002 still sounds timeless, so we asked him to remix forg004. Kyle agreed and delivered a monster of a spacious hypnotic slow techno re-imagination!.

Kyle took all of the different elements & put each of them through his modular system & homemade modular fx, he then merged them with some other tones and percussive sounds that he created on his Macbeth synth, re-pitching the sounds to lower the frequencies & then adding various spring reverb
fx to create the spacious immersive atmosphere. The end result is a total trip... turn up loud, close your eyes....repeat!.

ФАКТУРА continues to explore the depths of the Ural electronic scene. Next in line is a cassette by a musician from the city of Serov, Ivan Somov, who is releasing music under the name NotNotice.

NotNotice music is filled with the atmosphere of occultism, it introduces into the trance, plays the role of an excellent instrument for the dance floor.

 "The Constructor" is based on methods of cutting different sounds into separate samples. Tarkovsky, the sounds from the office, recorded by my girlfriend, the transformer and some other details fell under the scissors. By picking up the sliced pieces of sound, like goods on pallets, in slightly noisy techno canvases.

For his next release Leipzig-based producer and DJ Credit 00 lands on London label Out The Flat with a four tracker that twists and turns through dark hypnotic house, acid and electro. The Rat Life Records boss has become known for his diverse productions, taking inspiration from EBM and acid to ghettotech, new wave and Detroit techno, which have made their way to labels like Bordello A Parigi, Pinkman, New York Haunted and Rat Life's sister label Uncanny Valley.

Tuskegee Music producer D'Marc Cantu teams up with Danny Passarella on Passarella Records for their second collab, entitled 'The Future Has A Silver Lining 2'.

Following on from their previous collab in 2019 on Les Disques De La Mort, Michigan-based artist D'Marc Cantu re-joins forces with London-based producer and Passarella Death Squad's founder Danny Passarella. Passarella Records has previously had the likes of Perc and Oliver Ho both featuring alongside Danny and now sees the regular studio partners collaborate again on their next analogue- driven release.

'Survival' opens with dystopian soundscapes, splashing rides and a broken-beat rhythm before 'Reality' locks in a solid groove with analogue kicks, arpeggiated keys and decaying claps. Next, 'Appearance' energetically canters with layered cymbals, distorted snares and sharp synths until 'Memory' closes proceedings with an evolving bass, subtle drums and a hauntingly atmospheric sound floor.

A tip off had drawn their attention to a small abandoned town on the edge of the desert, but it was curiosity that had led them to drive out there to see it for themselves. Pulling up to what once would have been a bustling high street, the hairs on her neck began to bristle. It was as if this place had stopped in time; the shop fronts still showing the special offers of the day and the restaurant's awnings still extended to shelter customers from the hot sun. But it was empty, derelict; a forgotten place that would remain lost in history.

When lockdown began Bologna-based label Random Numbers were forced to postpone all their forthcoming releases, but in its stead they began working on a V/A compilation which brings together some of their favourite producers from across Europe, also offering them support during the Covid-19 pandemic. Made up of 14 tracks, that move through slow organic rhythms and sludgy electronics, the release titled Parallel Routes features the likes of Heap, BSS (Luigi of Beesmunt Soundsystem), Anatolian Weapons, Front De Cadeaux and our pick from BXP.
