A tip off had drawn their attention to a small abandoned town on the edge of the desert, but it was curiosity that had led them to drive out there to see it for themselves. Pulling up to what once would have been a bustling high street, the hairs on her neck began to bristle. It was as if this place had stopped in time; the shop fronts still showing the special offers of the day and the restaurant's awnings still extended to shelter customers from the hot sun. But it was empty, derelict; a forgotten place that would remain lost in history.

When lockdown began Bologna-based label Random Numbers were forced to postpone all their forthcoming releases, but in its stead they began working on a V/A compilation which brings together some of their favourite producers from across Europe, also offering them support during the Covid-19 pandemic. Made up of 14 tracks, that move through slow organic rhythms and sludgy electronics, the release titled Parallel Routes features the likes of Heap, BSS (Luigi of Beesmunt Soundsystem), Anatolian Weapons, Front De Cadeaux and our pick from BXP.

Born in Sardinia and currently based in Bologna, Carlo Mameli, aka BXP, is an Italian Producer/DJ and Random Numbers label co-owner. He explores the multiple possibilities in electronic music production, with a closer look to its IDM side, ranging from ambient to techno, electro, and acid. His Dj sets are hypnotic, dry and crystalline. His record selection is the weapon of choice for a journey through different styles and genres.

With our core team immersed in all aspects of dance music, we publish news, articles, and interviews covering the greatest in innovative, underground culture from across the globe. Attendances was born in 1987 in Ancona, a small city on the east coast of Italy. He's an Italian dj and producer influenced by different types of music, mainly progressive, trance, new wave, electrobeat, EBM, industrial, leftfield, techno, indie-dance, dark disco and electronic music.

His interesting in DJing began almost as a game and he started playing and then working in different clubs and social centres such as Thermos and Kontatto (Ancona).

During university years he began studying different softwares for the creation of sounds, producing songs intended as a photograph of the soul within the passage of time.

After several years of working in sound creation, in 2014 he started his project called "Attendances", he then created his podcast series "Retrofuture" and started publishing some songs with different labels such as Play Pal, Maleante, Esthetique and Emerald & Doreen.

In 2018 he became a member of the Italian-Spanish crew "Carajillo electronique" In 2022 he became also a member of another crew "Circuits" playing in different clubs and festivals in Italy, Spain and France such as:

RANDOM NUMBERS is a Record label based in Bologna Italy. 
Random Numbers co-owned by Carlo Mameli and Bartolomeo Sailer is mostly focused on experimental music, but every producer carries his own very personal approach to it. 
The idea behind the label is to explore a wide range of electronic music, merging different sounds in a single big container.
