Long time collaborators Complete Walkthru and Physical Therapy join together for their first EP on Allergy Season, Popcorn. Salvaged from sessions begun in 2015, the pair present two lush end emotive house tracks, backed by a minimized dub from Jump Source.

Lead track “Popcorn” opens as a tight italo-house tune before erupting into a a wall of shoegaze synths. Heavily road tested, it's a surefire “big moment” on the dancefloor. B-side “Origin” is propulsive and pretty, layering piano and strings over an acid bassline.

Jump Souce, the all-star Montreal duo of Patrick Holland and Priori, hand in a tripped-out tech-house interpretation of ‘Popcorn.’ The meandering psychedelic jam teases elements of the original between tense staccato synths.

Another premiere, another solid single for our friends of HOOK UP Agency in the hands of JAVALI ´slow-tempo guy and illustrious citizen of Guadalajara Mx. Now is time for WARRIOR, is a track that surprised us, the mix between a slow rhythm, with pad darks setting the vibe of the song and some arpeggiators that come and go. Clean, clear, vibrant. To the sum of these sounds, a dark vocal enters to add to the previously generated atmosphere.

The wallpaper had peeled off the walls of the grand entry hall, revealing the damp wood of the palace's framework. Over time this place had become an empty shell, the exterior now covered in dark green ivy. Once upon a time people had journeyed from across the country to visit this wonderful residence for elegant parties, the kind that were beyond imagination. A spectacle, a fun fair, a place where general debauchery was encouraged and no secrets left the building. Now this place had been forgotten, merely a distant memory that may have always been a dream. 

Following releases on Lobster Theremin and Jungle Gym, Russian producer Marco Lazovic lands on Prague via Sydney label Beef Records. Influenced by 90s rave and breaks, Lazovic has crafted four electro cuts. Tel Aviv DJ and producer Olsvangèr flips Eklektic Disco into a groove-driven house cut that's going to do the business on the dance floor.

Complete darkness engulfed the street as one by one each house switched off the lights inside. A curfew was no in affect all over the country and anybody who broke it would suffer grave consequences. The street lamps ommited a deep orange glow providing the only light for those who dared to travel by night. Although many were afraid to enter into the darkness, there were still nocturnal beings who would frequent the twilight hours, wittingly recruiting travellers to their growing pack each night. This was when the real excitement took place, it always is when you're breaking the rules.

Berlin-based imprint Ombra International have found a winning formula when it comes to their releases; bringing together artists who operate in the same sonic sphere who complement one another's creative outputs. Their VA EPs have seen the likes Local Suicide, Mondowski, Amarcord, Roe Deers and Ombra boss Curses, representing a cross section of sounds spanning wave, EBM, minimal synth and dark disco. This one sees Hard Fist boss Cornelius Doctor step up for a slow motion synth trip alongside Mufti, Renate's Sebastian Voigt and Colossio.
