Time seemed to move slower on a Friday, maybe she was clock watching too much. She drummed her fingers on the table and moved her computer mouse about to create the illusion she was still hard at work. The only thing on her mind was signing out and logging on to the night's activities. The weekend held promise of hedonistic experiences, of spaces to dance and play, of meetings with old friends and conversations with new ones. Until Monday arrived, the responsibilities of the week had no place in her thoughts: she'd cross that bridge when she came to it.

There's plenty of celebrations in order for the next release on Violet's naive imprint. It's even in the name. A Celebration Of The Euphoria Of Life is the debut album from London-based producer and DJ ELLES, which also marks the fifth anniversary of naive and the first ever LP to be released on the label. Across its 11 tracks, the album tells 'the story of a night out and all the nights out', and laces her own personal reflections of the bliss and freedom that going out clubbing gives us all - a cathartic subject as the release was predominantly written during a time that we were sorely missing these hedonistic spaces and the communities that frequented them. 

Sonically it brings together off-kilter dance music, acid, rave, Balearic, electro and a whole host of other sounds, all of which contribute to what ELLES dubs as "a love-letter to those vital community spaces for finding your people and pleasures and also about personal healing, processing life and discovering moments of clarity amidst the noise."

DJ, producer, and Rinse FM host @e_l_l_e_s announces a special remix EP of her debut album 'Celebrations Of The Euphoria Of Life' with its first release, @mbootyspoon’s Hornt Parade remix of ‘Sex’, due to land this month.

On the remix, Bootyspoon takes ELLES’ sultry, after-hours ode to saucy texts, transforming it into a glorious blaze of club filth, 3310 ringtones reverberating through a system-shattering bassline.

Fresh from the success of their Major Records debut with the immaculate Too Hot EP, Rinse France’s Whitney Weiss brings ELLES, Needy Beast, Evelyn, and Spatial Awareness into the Chinotto Records fold for The World, Reversed Remixes EP out on the 15th of March.
Released via Whitney’s newly founded imprint Chinotto Records, a label focused on spotlighting ‘moments of true dancefloor euphoria’, the EP gathers choice US and UK producers for five distinctive remixes that take the already warm and vibrant track to the club, the chill-out room, the
rave, and the afters. It also marks the label’s first foray into vinyl, with a limited hand-stamped run of 100 records.

Accomplished London-based producer, DJ, and songwriter ELLES elevates the original to new emotional heights with stirring vocals and ethereal synths, while Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist Needy Beast gives a nod to house classics with a lush groove. Brooklyn-based DJ and producer extraordinaire Evelyn expands the track to seven tightly-coiled moments of
galloping beats for the rave and UK-based producer Spatial Awareness goes deep with nearly eight synth-fuelled minutes for pushing dancers a step beyond. The EP concludes with a new mix from Whitney Weiss: a perfect slice of house that keeps the warmth of the original with a longer run time
for dance floors.

Whitney says:
“I wanted to ask some friends and favourites to re-imagine a track that people kept saying ends too soon and their takes thrilled and moved me.
ELLES is fiercely talented and I was honoured that she chose to add vocals. Hers is the remix that so far has made everyone cry, including me. I think it’s a perfect mood shift at peak time for skilled DJs who want their audiences to find heaven within, etc.
Needy Beast had a storied presence in various New York music scenes and knows his way around a studio. He’s a talented vocalist and fun guy whose version has nods to house classics and an unmistakable lushness of its own (with some great backing vocals).
I’m a big fan of Evelyn’s music and was floored by her guest mix for my Rinse show; I wanted to have her on for a remix so the EP could have the range. She goes harder than I do production-wise as a general rule and I was excited to hear the direction she took this in, which was beats beats
beats.
The Spatial Awareness remix is one for the club at a full-floor hour. Love the synths on this, it’s imbued with that sweat dripping down the walls energy.
I felt like being clever and wanted a longer version that kept the original mood. Kevin from Valence Studios, who does all of our mastering, called it ‘a piece of genius that reminds me of the kind of fun that I miss from the old AVH cuts’ and that felt like winning an award/meant it had worked.”
As a DJ Whitney Weiss is a master of their craft at the centre of some of the world’s cutting-edge queer parties for over a decade. From deeply underground beginnings playing 8+ hour stretches in Argentinean factories and defunct train depots and a residency at the legendary Dengue Dancing
parties in Buenos Aires (where after five years a move to Berlin was a quieter pace of life), to residencies across Europe in the years since - including Club Sandwich, Wanderlust, Strangé in Paris and Dalston Superstore in London. They’ve played regularly to global audiences from Berlin to Milan to Reykjavík to New York, appearing on The Lot Radio, NTS, HÖR, and Teki Latex’s French TV Show Overdrive Infinity and many more. are celebrating their tenth year on Rinse France

WPP stands for Witness Protection Program — a labour of love and a lab for incubating lovely music. Since 2021, it has operated as a space for artists who wish to remain anonymous and release music they might not be able to share otherwise. A Workshop for Phantom Producers, where the focus stays on sound, not identity.

Alien Bells revolves around a synthesized metallic motif that climbs and dips in pitch, generating a steady sense of motion through unfamiliar terrain. The track feels suspended in low gravity, with each percussive chime echoing like a coded transmission from elsewhere. Drawing from dub, krautrock, new disco, and acid, without sounding quite like any of these, it’s a mind-altering belter built for adventurous dancefloors.

PREMIERE : Troels Yuri - Alien Bells

Intervals is the new record from Naarm-based musician and producer L Lewis out now on Bathtub Music. Blending jazz harmony, electronic production, and improvisation, the release expands on the sonic palette introduced in their debut. Built from live studio recordings in Naarm (Melbourne) with L Lewis, Lachlan Thompson, Finn Milne, and Jordan Dunster, the tracks were later chopped up in London by L Lewis.

The B side features remixes from local and international artists Space Ghost, Hector Plimmer, Joseph Shabason and Jonah Gabriel plus a bonus digital remix from Alex Albrecht.

Out August 12th via Naarm label Bathtub Music.

Fade To Zaire are a team of London party starters who are arguably some of the nicest folk going. Their label is the latest in their ever evolving project list and this new EP from Cottam is bang on point. It's wrapped up with a tidy remix from ELLES, very much one to watch.
