From Love To Concrete - Ode To Vivi

Today's premiere is a superb nocturnal creeper from Flug 8 via the mighty Disko B camp. Matching the dark and cold of October with crystalline icicle melodies, Trans Atlantik takes Kraftwerk's autobahn fetishism to a darker, spookier place. The brain child of Frankfurt based photographer Daniel Herrmann, Flug 8 is his response to years of photographing musicians on tour, internalising the loneliness and futurism of hours spent in airports. The results have a curious blend of isolation and euphoria that grows in stature with every listen.

An album, featuring collaborations with N.U. Unruh (Einstürzende Neubauten) and Kristina Krisoffersen (Mono Girl), is set to follow in January 2015. Head to Disko B for more info.

The machine would take them to new heights, not in reality but in their imaginations. The drug would lead their minds astray and would guide them through a simulated world of merriment and ecstacy. The simulation would last for five hours, the effects would wear off soon after, however they would never want it to stop by the time they had reached the peak. The change in each of their mental states would surpass anything that they had ever known or dreamt possible. Simulation awaited. 

Flug 8 values house music, family and culture. His latest EP for Kerosene sees him experiment with the limits of the genre and comes not long off the back of his recent album "Trans Atlantik".

Luca Metreveli played his first DJ Set 2 years ago, in this short period, as an artist, he had gone through a lot of shifts. Currently playing hybrid sets, where he often uses live vocal elements and this makes his music so unique in the entire planet. House has always been and still remains an universal driving force in his music and electronic as the basis of the dance music and cyber romance. The idea of splitting and fragmenting music in genres does not fascinate him, since he perceives it as an integrity, but in order to swim through an infinite data of modern music, he consideres their categorization justified by pragmatic purposes.
As he formulates, the music is the alphabet, which is the most powerful and most understandable language in all languages. Everything what happens in his inner world is expressed in the form of music. When we come acroos the musical influences  on Luca Metreveli, we will face totally different poles. The most important influences are still associated with the 70s, with the Pink Floyd Genesis (Peter Gabriel), Led Zeppelin, the Black Sabbath. The bridge between live and electronic music for him was built by Bonobo. Simon Green is an artist whos love is hard to describe with words for him. Larry Heard, Vince Watson, St Germain, Funk'D Void Keith Tucker, Tommy Hamilton, Underground resistance, E.R.P and hundreds and thousands of other musicians have an influence on Luca's every day life. His greatest desire is that at all stages of his life, music to accompany, guide, protect and live with him. Luka understands and listens to the world as a music, so it's impossible for him to exist without it.
