Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Italian duo Bichord (Planet Rhythm / Illegal Alien Records).

A Bichord, as is well known, is a chord of two notes played at the same time: this image is what the artists identify as their concept, since they can create an harmonic and distinctive sound combining very different backgrounds and abilities.
The continuous research of new forms of expression and the incessant dedication to production were the keys of Bichord's productions, characterized by the massive use of analog gear and alternation of ethereal atmospheres and acid sounds combined with structured rhythms.

THE ODDNESS // LIVE

Minor Notes (@minornotes) calls upon Russian House producer Maxim Palchikov aka Baltimore Chop (@baltimorechop) to release his EP "Не остановить" which can be translated to "Can't Stop, Won't Stop". 

Previously living in the USA, Maxim was an aspiring baseball player, thus the name Baltimore Chop (the rare situation in baseball, when the ball takes a high bounce near home plate, allowing the runner to reach first safely).

Here with 'Deep In Your Soul', Baltimore Chop creates a warm and soulful Deep House atmosphere that's held in place with big bodied percussion. The sentiment stays the same throughout the EP, making "Не остановить" a mature and reminiscent release while still staying current and interesting.

Exclusive Premiere: Baltimore Chop "Deep In Your Soul" (Minor Notes Records)

The rolling ocean was a radiant blue, deep green and murky shade of black. The stars flickered up high above as the 100th tide crashed softly against the beachfront. Sat in a little bar he watched the world go by before his eyes as the boats bobbed and danced upon the water in the distance. Amidst the sand there were cries from late night lovers and free spirits, he cared little for their hedonism and romance. He simply sipped his drink and looked out towards the last glimmer of the dying sun. 

Rhode & Brown are set to release a new EP on Slam City Jams, a sun kissed affair which exists as a beautiful, nostalgic reminder of the dream house era. A near perfect release.

The night sky was beautiful and elegant - he gazed upwards towards the distant planets and stars whilst dreaming of escapism and freedom. Waiting for you was such a long, long time. The earth spun slowly down below as his spaceship travelled with perilous freedom through a time and space millions of miles away from home. One day he might retreat back to the greenery of land down there but for now he simply hoped that his one true love might fly into the night sky and join him...

This one is beautiful, delicate and spacious. Helium III is a mysterious producer and 'Waiting 4 U' is about as perfect as deep house can get. You have been warned, enter the ethereal.

The bird flew high through the city between the tall, towering buildings. It could not see the mess which lay down below amidst the streets for it was surrounded by the deep blue glow of the morning light and the mirrored reflections of the city skyscrapers which stood tall like monsterous dinosaurs atop the sprawling landscape. There was not a cloud in the sky today as the smacky dove left London for the last time. It would travel south above the sea to a place of warmth far, far away. 

Trinity Carbon continues the breakbeat and rave revival with a four track EP in what makes up the first Art-E-Fax release. This was our favourite cut from the new release which features beautiful strings and a rugged but steady beat.

Nestled within a cave they hoped that by the end of the long hunt and the vicious trip that they may find the infamous black gold which had escaped them for so long. The search party had travelled far and wide and some had come from as far away as Japan to find the deepest sense of mystery which lurked beneath the might hill. The cliff face was rugged and jagged as they looked upwards from base camp, the only way down was up and that was the next step upon the quest...

Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï appear on Hard Fist with a new EP packed with hypnotic magic and intriguing melody. Percussion bangs in all glory and this one is right for the deep, moody dancefloor.

New Tallinn-based imprint @gestaltlabel has certainly positioned itself as "one to watch" with its first few missives exploring the spaces between electro, ambient and dub techno. Out 22nd September, the fourth release on the label is from Dublin native @sputnik_one, who comes correct with four high velocity electro cuts. We're very happy to be premiering the title track 'Return', a forceful Drexciya/Bicep hybrid that goes off like an underwater explosion.

The light within the big city was overwhelming as the people rushed under the glow of the polluted haze. From a hotel window she watched with a delicate elegance - gazing out at the chaos and commotion. Billboards flashed a radiant wave of colour and in the distance the sound of a siren could be heard roaring atop the hullabloo of people. In bars people drank themselves silly and danced with a humorous love for life. However, this was not her tale, she was simply here to appear live in Japan. 

Pedro Vian has announced a new edits EP on the newly launched MOED, a sub label of his imprint Modern Obscure Music. He reworks a beautiful Japanese track to fine effect.
