Every day started and ended the same way – he would rise in the morning and sleep tightly in the evening. He would go to work, see the same people and do the same dance. He’d walk home the same way, catch the same train and sit by the same window.

He wondered how many times he might live upon repeat? One hundred and sixty times was it now? Who was counting anyway?

Tomorrow would be just like the one before, except he hoped it might be sunny. For if it were sunny then he might just smile once or twice, that was pretty good odds by his count.

Sputnik One’s N-Face is back with a new compilation showcasing music from a global assortment of up and coming producers keen to challenge the preconceptions and structures of electronic music. As a compilation this one runs wild featuring material from the likes of K Wata, LWS, Young Muscle and more.

However, it is Glimmerman’s track which we showcase today – a weighty affair destined to boom bap in loud systems and in discerning clubs.

With Slipstreaming, the first split EP on the label since 2021, Ma Sha (@masha-ny) teams up with Sobolik (@tomsobolikmusic) to return to Kindergarten origins in collaboration and pure energy. Taking cues from each other’s unfinished projects and bouncing ideas back and forth, the pair serve up the fastest EP the label has released to date.

Just in time for the season of air-so-thick-you-could-cut-it-with-a-knife, Ommaya co-founder noRecall is back with an icey haul of season-ready tracks. His third EP on the label - dubbed 'Kinda Squishy' - focuses all of his efforts on what he knows best - otherworldly sound-system music. The four original tracks - 'Blah,' 'Fake a Smile,' 'Squish,' and 'Look Man' - are classic noRecall, worming their way into your mind and feet.

Supporting him are four of contemporary club music's most provocative purveyors, all hawking their brand of high-octane, unrelenting styles for the dance floor.

Mirin Doja, a fellow Seattleite and celebrated high-bpm academic, making appearances on labels like Juke Bounce Werk and Delusional Records, takes the track 'Look Man' and gives it her gun-finger treatment, flipping it into a heaving UKG slammer.

The similarly Seattle-based Jason Code (a Terminal 8 alumni and co-head of Seattle's rising club night Data Club - a who's who of IYKYK dance music energy helping to revitalize the city's scene,) lends his signature Jason Codification to 'Squish,' imbibing it with the energy of a grinning, toothy, ear-to-ear grin.

CDMX's own Octoptic - co-founder of WavaWava - returns to Ommaya after his fan-favorite contribution to Ommaya's Solstice compilation in December 2023, bringing along a non-stop, high-energy rendition of 'Look Man' with enough momentum to break through peak-time in a packed room.

Last but not least, Egyptian club music wizard 3Phaz - fresh off a year of features on labels like TraTraTrax, YUKU, and Low Income $quad - graces the label with his flip of 'Fake a Smile' - upping the pace by more than a few notches and turning it into a chugging, metallic heater sure to find its way onto plenty of USBs this Summer.
