'Ultra Truth' offers a very different listening experience to any of Daniel Avery’s previous records. It inhabits its own world of sound, a construct built in his Thames side studio with collaborative help from a host of friends: the production touch of Ghost Culture and Manni Dee, the vocals of HAAi, Jonnine Standish (HTRK), AK Paul and the voices of Marie Davidson, Kelly Lee Owens, Sherelle and James Massiah.

There was certainly no harm in it, idealism was an escape, it provided a respite from what was happening here on solid ground. If you preferred to live way up above the clouds, drunk on fantasies and wishful thoughts, what of it? Let yourself drift... at least just for a moment.

rRoxymore has proved herself a master of leftfield electronics. These sounds have come via releases for Ideophone, Timedance and Don't Be Afraid, the longtime partner who've housed several of her records since 2016. On her new EP, I Wanted More, a debut outing for Aus she continues her exploration of contrasting textures and atmospheres - intricate and tender synths combat crunchy, powerful drums to create a "perfect elixir for any morning dance floor".

This month sees Byron The Aquarius officially launch his TALKNOI$E label, the first release "Shroomz, Guns and Roses" is an all-original 5 track EP by the main man himself. 
When Byron The Aquarius talks about live frequencies, his enthusiasm is infectious! A keys player by trade, his love for melody and harmony has consistently drawn the attention of electronic music’s leading labels and producers.
In 2015, Byron released his solo album on BBE, “Planets of Love”, and when he wasn’t working on his own music, he was playing keys in the studio with Kai Alce. These creations got into the hands of Theo Parrish, who loved the sound of his sublime jazz-infected house and picked two tracks to release on Sound Signature in 2016, the “Highlife EP”. In the years since, Byron has consistently released quality music on Wild Oats, Eglo & more. There’s been his “Astral Traveling” album on Mutual Intentions, and the “Ambrosia LP” on Jeff Mills’ Axis Records. Most recently, Byron released “The New Beginning LP” on Shall Not Fade. Byron has toured the planet playing festivals Dimensions, Dekmantel, Suncebeat, Lente Kabinet, and All Points East, as well as the worlds’ most important clubs.
“Shroomz, Guns and Roses” was born out of the pandemic. It was a time when Byron felt deep in nature and the studying of zen. In his own words “I felt like the pandemic brought out a darkness in me, and I combatted these negative thoughts with nature and mushrooms to create a balance in my life spending time in the mountains of Alabama and Asheville, North Carolina. I chose “guns” and “roses” as a way to juxtapose the violence we’re experiencing in the USA with the peace of mind a rose can bring as a balance in life. Music makes its way through these tough times we’re all facing, and to me, music is that rose. I paint a canvas of my emotions through synthesizers and drum machines to show the world balance can be found through even the toughest of times.

The clouds began to part, for a brief period there was a radiant blue sky which beamed down upon them all as they gathered upon the hill. This momentary spread was all it would take to set the spirits alight for it reminded them that they were not alone. It reminded them that there was life beyond the fog and that millions of miles away up there was new hopes and dreams.

He watched as thousands of others all gazed upwards towards the glowing light, they were the same as him. Hoping and longing that one day there might not be any clouds and that this would be it…

map.ache is one of our favourite producers over here at Ransom Note. An artist with a masterful talent for creating dreamy visions and beautiful soundscapes. Here he is invited to remix Inner Sciences for French record label Cosmocities in what is an expansive release.

With his willingness to push his sonic boundaries, Tim Bernhardt, a.k.a. Satin 
Jackets, showcases a different variety of sounds and vibes on the sixth single “Count
on you.” The smooth and steady rhythm of "Count On You" pulses like a heartbeat, 
with layered arpeggios building up to the perfect tempo. The bassline provides a 
warm and inviting soundscape, with atmospheric leads that never get too 
overwhelming. With "Count On You," Tim manages to create a feeling of warmth 
that's often missing in contemporary dance music. It’s a modern exploration into new
possibilities while still reconnecting with what once was, and without getting 
sentimental. 
“Elmar” is a new solo project and moniker of Mansionair vocalist Jack Froggatt. 
Drawing on years of songwriting experience and recent productions Elmar immerses
you in a surf coast shimmer of indie rock, smooth electronic and folk, to harness a 
batch of songs drenched in sunlight and reflection. Created over the years between 
Mansionair’s records (two albums to date), as well as compelling features for 
Odesza, Dom Dolla, & Rezident. Having amassed a slew of accolades to his name 
already including a Grammy nomination and US Gold Record for ‘Line Of Sight', 
alongside Australian Gold Records 'Easier', and 'Astronaut (Something About Your 
Love' and ‘Line Of Sight.' Jack continues to shine through his songwriting, vocals 
and production. Working alongside his good friend Ross James (Upsidedownhead), 
the two have created a sonic world of coastal drives and late night mescals, (not at 
the same time).
