In the shadowed hills beyond the old monastery, where vines strangled pillars and silence lay thick as dust, there existed a forgotten garden — one not marked on any map. They called it the Garden of Stone and Scale.

Nobody knew who built it. Local legend claimed it had once been a sanctuary for ancient artists, or perhaps a temple to gods whose names had been eroded by time. But everyone agreed on two things: the statues were unlike anything else in the world, and the snakes were always watching.

Mr Ho is invited in to remix Adam Curtain on a new EP launched off the back of a new record label from the Love International crew. This one focusses on the slightly darker, moodier undertones of club culture.

Franz Kirmann is set to release a new album on Ransom Note affiliated record label Bytes, an imprint which has been widely supported and well received since formation. The new album comes from a singular musician and producer who channels the atmospheric and the abstract. However, perhaps Franz is best left to explain for himself...

"My next album, entitled Madrapour, will be a cassette released by Ransom Note sub label Bytes. This is a return to my analog hardware roots after the very digital Elysian Park I released in 2016. One of my musical heroes Andrew Weatherall describes it as “achingly beautiful” and that means a lot to me! I hope you will agree with him!"

The friend retorts with an unconvincing blank stare, her ruse crumbling as she slips into smile and digs her in the arm. “You’ll figure it out." The friend exclaims while yanking the girl up from the corner of the dusty warehouse rave and towards the speakers.

Get to know Jennifer Loveless, the Melbourne-based producer with a sublime ear for emotive arrangements, underpinned with skippy percussion and complex rhythms. Her debut outing ‘Hard/Soft’ features 20-minutes of soulful breaks and is the musical equivalent of coming to terms with the end of your night out. The track ‘DCS’ is a standout, with it’s off-kilter kicks, nebulous synths and explorative vocals.

Jonny Sriraxa & Luci B's indomitable sonic system, Nostalgia Futura is a project born during the first confinement period in Madrid, Spain, at the peak of the Covid-19 crisis. The overwhelming sensations of physical, social, and emotional detention painted the horizon with a nostalgic hue..."so we felt a certain type of nostalgia for this particular future..." And now, in their sets and performances, Jonny Sriraxa and LuciB aim to transmit the entirety of that accumulated energy through rhythms oriented towards the dance floor--evoking reflection through motion-- and flowing across a variety of genres, histories, and influences that fuse the old, new, and still-evolving.
