Blue Kiss

Like a nocturnal animal he slept during the hours of daylight, only coming out of hibernation as the moon replaced the setting sun. Operating during the twilight hours served him well, he preferred to be away from prying eyes and unwanted attention; keeping himself to himself and any interactions to a bare minimum. There was more interesting activities taking place under the cloak of darkness; his night watch uncovered secrets and lies — he knew more than he'd ever let on.

Seoul-based imprint Honey Badger Records come correct with their annual HBRTRX compilation; the fourth in their series that highlights artists operating in the East and South East Asian underground. Showcasing dance floor-focused cuts swirling around house, breaks, techno and trance, the 10 tracks match regular label mates like Closet Yi, Sojeso, Mignon and head honcho JNS with first time contributors including Seo John, Radiofear and Natsumi Hirota.

JNS to release his first full-length album ‘Miasma’ on Honey Badger Records on October 30th, 2020.
JNS, an electronic music producer based in Seoul, released four EPs on Honey Badger Records and continues to perform various music activities. His original and remix tracks were introduced through various radio station such as BBC Radio 1, NTS, Redlight Radio
and Worldwide FM in Europe. Furthermore, His music was used for the advertising of Samsung, Hyundai Motor and numerous fashion brands such as Stella McCartney, LV, YSL.
JNS presented a 60 minute DJ set at 2019 Boiler Room Seoul event, which was his 2nd Boiler Room gig after 2016. At Sonar 2018 Hong Kong, he also showcased the best in South Korean talent at the Asian Radio Showcase stage with Seoul Community Radio. And also he was selected as one of the 16 leading producers of Seoul at the Red Bull Bass Camp in 2017.
‘Miasma’ to be released this time is JNS’ first full-length album, a work that captures the emotions he felt as he spent 2020, when the world was covered with unpleasant air. The album will be released on 12-inch vinyl as well as music streaming services.

Wails and screams resounded from near and far as suspects were dragged from their homes and into the streets to await trial. Nobody knew who would sink or swim; the witch hunt had begun...

Honey Badger Records boss JNS returns to his own imprint, this time for his debut full-length release, Miasma. The Seoul-based producer has been helming the label since 2014, which has provided a platform for some of the most exciting electronic artists coming out of the South Korean capital, as well as an outlet for his own material. His first album, which follows three EPs for the label, captures the moods and emotions he's experienced during the turbulent year that was 2020, resulting in eight tracks that traverse through, acid, bass, techno and house.
