@joelewandowski new EP is a 20 minute track inspired by the story of Icarus. Nowadays, this antic myth has never been so true, we are destroying nature to the point we jeopardize our own existence. Each part of the EP symbolizes a part of the Icarus journey. The first two tracks have a housey feeling that would translate the uplifting feeling of flying. The third part is an ambient track that symbolises the plenitude of flying with sun. Finally the last track is darker with its techno beats and acid bassline, it evokes the falling of Icarus. This EP is a psychedelic trip that wants to make us think of the way we treat our planet.

Andy Ash has been quietly sneaking out seriously good analogue-driven electronic music on some of the best underground labels for over a decade. The Liverpool-based producer, DJ and visual artist has graced the likes of Chicago’s Stilove4music, NYC’s On The Prowl, Sydney’s People Must Jam and has remixed Fantastic Man for Detroit label Kolour LTD amongst many others. The bottom line is that he’s definitely one of the UK’s unsung heroes when it comes to deep, raw, Chicago and Detroit-influenced house music and Delusions of Grandeur is proud to welcome him with an amazing three tracker entitled the Bottleneck EP.

The title track opens with snappy hats, flappy congas and sloppy baseline all sitting perfectly in the mix and with a looseness that is much harder to achieve that it may seem. A simple synth melody doubles up the bassline while an extra square wave lead adds that little extra hook without distracting us from the bouncing groove. With Bottleneck, less is definitely more.

Flipping over we have Hump, an altogether darker affair with a twisting acid line joining distorted 808 drums and tripped-out snippets of spoken word coming in and out of focus. The low-slung bumpy groove and spacey synth parts make this a compelling warehouse track which will draw everyone into it’s seductive confines.

Closing the release we have Actual Price, a shuffling, deep groover with rumbling low end and machine-like analogue synth part skipping around the crunchy beats. A cerebral yet punchy and dynamic closer to an excellent release!

Walking through the countryside he looked upwards into the deep blue beyond. He watched as birds flew and soared between tall trees and headed towards the clouds in the abyss which was an endless sky. Icarus was a lonely man, he dreamed that one day he might be able to fly and career between the stars and the milky way. He wished he could, he dreamt of it at night once the world turned black. In the blackness and the beyond he would find himself at one, find himself at peace. 

Joe Lewandowski is set to release a new EP on Sengiley Recordings. A beautiful record which features a reimagined version of a track called "Icarus". It's thematic, elegant and beautiful. Highly recommended.

Digging into the deepest vibes of house music is Aevasyon’s favorite hobby. With various releases across different record labels, DWRTW RECORDS’s owner is delivering a subtle 2-track EP. 

When the first track Sleepless kicks off, melodic chords and punchy beats get you in the mood right from the start. A very nice blend of housy drums and chill instrumental surroundings help the track elevate to another level. When the bass kicks in, that’s the time to let go.

Last but not least, a track name couldn’t be as accurate than “Space Trip” to end up this EP. You feel energized by these sharpen chords, mellow pads, bouncy synths and leads that will kick you right in your ears to reach your final destination. In short, “No Sleep” can be a good ally for any DJ willing to make his crowd travelling while staying in a dark, underground club.

Accomplished Girls of the Internet producer serves up a third EP under his own new project, Tableland continuing to offer up masterfully crafted sounds.
The Tableland imprint started late last year and made a quick impression with its first two releases picking up support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Dan Curtin, rRoxymore, Machine Woman and many more. The man behind Tableland is also the producer behind the timeless project Girls of the Internet who have put out various 12”s and a fine full length on Drab Queen. Inspired by the likes of Daniel Bell, Interplanetary Assault Systems and Claude Young, this solo alias now gives rise to six more enticingly deep and pensive house and techno cuts that were made in quarantine.
Lush opener ‘20 Minutes Into The Future’ is rolling house with molten chords draped over the top. It’s a warm, melodic sound that washes over you and gets you in the groove. The amusingly entitled ‘Bloat Party’ picks up the energy with a syncopated beat that swagger beatnik more harmonic chords. There’s a bristling sense of groove that gets you on your toes and that continues with the techno leaning, late night driving tune that is ’It Came From The Nightosphere’. Supple kicks power you along as astral synth planes and acid leads all race into the future. The more late night ‘Green Love’ has rubbery synth lines wrapping round each other, with alien sound effects, plenty of studio tricks and deep drums all adding to the meditative afterparty effect.
‘Birdland’ is a cavernous dub techno track that races along at an infectious speed, with crisp percussion adding bite as a free-roaming lead meanders up and down the mix to cathartic and alluring effect. Closing out this classy EP in style is ‘Nostalgia For Times We Don't Remember’, a plaintive downtempo track with gorgeous chords and plenty of open space in which to get lost
