Every percussive element and vocal shot accentuates the pulsing tension, creating a subtle but undeniable sense of forward motion. Bristol based imprint FutureBoogie delivers rock solid nu-disco and house 12"s for already five years now. Their latest release to date by Lauer certainly didn't disappoint and they're now rolling into spring
with a heavyweight one from dastardly duo Ron & Neil Aka Ron Basejam and Neil Diablo, who between them bring years of musical chops and (most importantly) "the funk" to the table.
In its Original Mix, ‘Perdre Son Éclat’ is a breezy yet sturdy slice of atmospheric synth dance, resplendent with swirling riffs and stammering bass. A thunderous Roland CR-78 drum pattern keeps everything in check, and its sultry french vocals flitter between spoken word and harmonious refrains, lacing the track with a superb "new wave" feel.
Here premiered, a remix comes courtesy of Man Power, the musical enigma that traded on his anonymity for a couple of years before coming clean as the English DJ/producer Geoff Kirkwood. Having released on labels like Hivern, Throne Of Blood and Correspondant, Man Power takes "Perdre Son Éclat" into even deeper territories, crafting a moody and spacious version that respectfully stays close to the original mix. Out 26th of April !

The Scandinavian climate was brisk and fierce. In the northern parts of Sweden there was little sound to be heard as they stared up towards the mountainside. A tiny hut could be seen in the distance, a light flickering from a small fire ablaze outside. This was to be the place, the only musical landmark amidst the outback of the north. Acid would play, acid nord. 

Here is the latest release in celebration of five years of Power Plant Records. The release sees the likes of La Fleur and Acid Mondays contribute but it is the Knutsson/Berg track which we have chosen to feature.

The crew had gathered amidst the sprawling estate. The smoke flourished high up above as it escaped from the heat of the grill. The smell of meat lingered in the air as the warm rays shone down upon them. Many beers would be drank this day, many memories shared. Music blasted from the boombox sat upon the grass. A barbeque skit played loud. 
Here is the latest EP to emerge from the Tartelet Records camp. It sees Kickflip Mike and Julius Conrad deliver a four track EP built for the summer.

The secrets of the crypt would stand the test of time. The sirens called from the cliffy peaks up above as the waves crashed against the rock face. Boats would pass upon the murky waters but none would manage to charter the stormy seas. They would not get near, not now, not ever. Nobody would find the sirens crypt. Nobody.

It is exciting to be able to reveal the Adesse Versions remix of Dj Duke's Pleasure Dome project. He steps up to deliver a fast paced cut with lush padded stabs.

The clouds parted and the sun shone through from the skies above. He looked to the heavens up above and waved his hands in joy, somewhere, way out there, he had been granted by salvation by the powers which lay beyond our wildest dreams. He would have to count his lucky stars and pray for forgiveness. He was blessed, and he would walk the earth again once more. Salvation had come. 

Here is the latest release from The Body Language camp which comes from the land on the other side. The Australian based label offers up a two track EP from Leo James.

After a splendid, sought after 12” on Pyramids Of Mars, an already expensive edits split Ep with Red Axes on Edit Service and his highly original and acclaimed self released debut album “Don’t touch my sister” Rouge Mecanique delivers a stone cold classic Ep for Discos Capablanca. The psychedelic steady muscle of ‘All Will Be Changed’ aims to destroy visionary dance floors. ‘Sans Scrupules’ is the most surprising acid banger you will likely hear this year. ‘Ampedusa / Xaver’ defies description and its mutant sound could evoque ecstatic early minimal house references, kraut and concrete music. ‘Can I say’ is simply put the most elegant, languid way to say goodbye to an Ep that exudes sheer brilliance and character. Timeless applies here.

A2. Rouge Mecanique - Sans Scrupules

Shiny Objects returns to Roam Recordings with the brilliant Lights of Fire EP. After a successful year running his iconic San Francisco clubs Monarch and the Great Northern Shiny Objects aka Chris Smith rejoins Roam to follow up his previous Bad Acid and Purest Sound EPs with two new originals. The title track is a low slung slice of beautiful electronics that is at the same time meditative, blissful, comforting, and unique. The other original, Dirty Darlins, ups the tempo while adding a hint of dark disco.

The EP is supported with two excellent remixes. The first is from Man Power who remains faithful to the intent of the original Lights of Fire while turning it into a dance floor burner. Also joining the EP is Spanish DJ/Producer Undo who brings a dark big system electro flavor to Dirty Darlins.

The originals and remixes that make up the Lights of Fire EP continue to bring a variety of unique sounds and moods for which Roam Recordings has become known.

Her eyes were fixated upon the distance, it were as if her whole face had been cast in stone and would not flinch. She was modest yet pointed and purposeful, looking outwards upon the water towards the horizon where the clouds met with the ocean far away. She was not phased by the passing boats or the wild wind which roared all around her for she knew that one day all of this would be gone, replaced by a bittersweet memory of something else. This was her demure. 

Julian Bainbridge is set to release a new EP on Sounds Over Seas, this track taken from the forthcoming EP is a beautiful cosmic voyage through the unknown. Wonderful arpeggios are paired with deep, moody pads in what is a beautiful realisation.
