Local Group roll through with a rave and hardcore inspired 4-tracker - Big Beats Are The Best!

‘Rhythmic Trip’ is an emotional, breaksy number; meandering out of dark tones and patterns and into large vocal samples and uplifting odes to classic hardcore. 
Netil Radio resident Angel D’lite comes through in style with a wicked 150bpm lovecore remix of the Local Group original.

‘Watch This Beat’ nods to the right side of happy hardcore - its chipmunk vocals, ravey piano stabs and snappy breakbeats providing plenty of gun-finger induced, rush-in-the-rave moments - before ‘Work That Thing’ closes the door with a scratch-sampled cut of electro that sounds like it was taken from the middle of a Jerome Hill set.

After last summer’s appearance at Field Maneuvers, the Oxford festival they’re residents at, one punter requested ‘Local Group for 36 hours straight’ in 2020. Negotiations are on-going. In the
meantime, this four-tracker provides almost 25 minutes of their ‘Field Maneuvers famous’ sound.
Traversing breakbeat styles and tempos, ‘Fresh Rhythms’ outlines the roving rave sound that has seen Local Group play alongside DJs from Eris Drew to Grooverider.

Thick clouds of smoke billowed high above the rooftops, the town below had been decimated by flames. What had began as a small fire had quickly torn through the streets, leaving the buildings engulfed in vibrant shades of orange and auburn. All that remained were piles of rubble and empty structures, an uninhabitable ghost town that would soon be forgotten.

Bristol's Grave Grooves kickstart their Dead Trax label and collective with The Grooveyard: Volume 1, a 13-track compilation featuring friends and family that explores the far reaches of rave music. Released on limited edition   cassette, the V/A journeys through garage, hardcore, jungle and post-dance calling on the likes of Hartta, Local Group, Agora, Lo Chi and more.
