PREMIERE: Toolate Groove - The Way I Live (Deep In Dworp)

The clouds parted slowly to reveal the hazy blue expanse of sky in the distance beyond - it was what they had all been waiting for as they gathered on the shore. Looking out into the distance as the waves rolled in against the pier it was hard to wonder what might be any better than this. The breeze blew softly and the smell of a grill burnt hot in the distance. Was this paradise? It certainly seemed that way.

He'd never imagined that he might find euphoria here, out here in the middle of nowhere surrounded by strangers whom might one day become friends. It was hard to imagine a life without them now for they too had lived through the cloudy fog to see the sun rise at the beginning of a new morning. They were all in this together.

Wolf Music are back with a new split EP featuring friends and family, this track by Manuel Darquart captures the 'euphoria' of the late ineties Italian house era. These were simpler times, with happy go lucky music and a cocktail on ice to go alongside. This one has us feeling all kinds of summer.

 Two of Ibadan's usual suspects team up for one of the labels greatest moments.

Kerri Chandler and Jerome Sydenham bring an exceptional House flavor to NYC Band, The System. They've added new flavor with fresh and innovative production techniques to one of NYC most popular Synth/Pop outfits. 'You're In My System' is clear proof why. Kerri steps in to remix the track with four new versions.

The A1, is the bearer of the You’re In My System (Atmospheric Vocal). A catchy Rhodes melody enters you into the system of what is soon to be taken over by a heartfelt Garage style male vocal.

The A2, is a tried and true dub version of the original. However, the lack of vocals only puts more focus on the escalating and driving horn section.

B1 gets bi-lingual for all our Latinos. "Estas en mi sistema!"

Wrapping up this release on the B2, is Kerri's pure DJ version. Fully equipping, You’re In My System with juicy 909 hats and crackling snares while adding more emphasis to the bass line. An extended breakdown also creates an added element of suspense.

This is New York House at its best. Feel good club music that puts a smile on your face and a little swing in your hips.

We're big fans of the Cold Tonic crew and they blew the roof off last time they joined us in the shop for an in-store session with label heads Krystal Klear and Maurice Alexander playing alongside Gerd Janson and Philip Laurer. Since their first release we've been strong supporters of their imprint and but their newest release really caught our attention since it features a brand new signing on the flip. "Nothing But A Freak" marks Sandboards musical debut and we can't get enough of it! The emotional House cut combines rattling drums and melancholic chords to comfortably sit underneath a spoken word monologue about the one thing that keeps us moving... We're very excited to see what this the New Zealand duo comes up with next! Keep an eye on these two, we have the feeling they'll be coming up quick! in the meantime, reserve a copy of of their new split release with Krystal Klear ahead of the official release at the end of the month.

Shoreline is a groovy dance-track inspired by jazz and funk. Quite satisfied with the flow and feel. It features one of my favourite sounds, the rhodes piano, accompanied with a funky bass line and some field recordings from a nearby beach. Hope you like it!
