The 'Vibes New & Rare music' compilation only features material that Rick Wilhite truly believes to represent the artists. After releasing Volume 1 in 2010, Wilhite now delivers the sequel, featuring pioneers and new talents alike from New York, Chicago and Detroit.

Later this month, @ausmusic stalwart @marquis-hawkes marks his fifth release for the label with an amazing 2 track 12". 'The Phoenix (Part 1 and Part 2)' is the follow up to his big summer hit 'The Basement Is Burning'. We're premiering Part 2, which is a bit of a departure for the producer. While Part 1 is a finely tooled disco/house banger in Hawkes' usual vein, Part 2 takes the same materials but uses them as the basis for a soaring, anthemic techno construction, splitting the line between old school Detroit originators and modern day dynamics/production values. Needless to say, it's absolutely huge, and should become a permanent fixture in record bags across the globe.

Christening the label, then, is Toyen, Oslo resident Henrik Villard, a young producer who has seen releases on Nite Records, Tooman Records and most recently Two Five Six Records from Amsterdam. Villard’s signature style fits perfectly within the mission of Moskalus Records: warm, inviting house without pretense, as groovy and lush as you’d hope. I Wanna Stay EP lays apparent these traits across its four tracks with a fisheye lens of Rhodes-like pads, distant coos, and sexy slap bass, an underwater discotheque caught at its most comforting peak. We reached out to Henrik to ask what he may like to say to the people:

COEO are back on Toy Tonics! After uninterrupted touring around the globe, followed by a short creative break the guys come back with an even stronger sound. With the new EP they go more underground again. Its addressed to the clubs and night owls out there, who turn night into day and won't stop dancing!

The sound is based on classic house patterns and includes a lot of cool saxophones, big piano stabs & rhythmic piano solos. They even go tribal, use arpeggios and switch into breakbeat heaven. The four Originals are a great next step in the COEO evolution. The unique warm, catchy atmosphere of the tracks can create that special COEO euphoria which made them a lot of fans.
